i have tried to watch as many mst3k's as possible (not a long time fan, wasnt even born when the show started) but i remeber something about mike and the robots turning into balls of energy and dr. f dieng of old age, how did that transition to pearl?

@Pacalakin That was the finale on Comedy Central before they were moved to SciFi...or SyFy as they're calling it now. Laserblast. lol Pearl is Dr. F's mom who comes back to terrorize them in the following seasons. TOTALLY worth getting into, all the episodes are great! :)

Pearl was god awful. Watching this now reminds me why I stopped watching the show around the time they moved to that castle for reasons that escape me. I understand completely why the show was cancelled. The show took a nose dive after the move to the Sci Fi channel but really hit the toilet when Pearl was in that castle.

So the 2 minutes Pearl was on camera per episode ruined the 118 minutes of genius, got it. MST3K is one of the few shows that was steadily excellent up until the end, much like Seinfeld. The greatest TV show of all time.

@Kramerdower I don't know. I prefered Dr. F and TV's Frank, but Pearl had her moments, like "When Loving Lovers Love". I guess its just a matter of preference. I had a friend who actually thought Pearl was the best character on the show.

the same continuity error can be found in the goes nowhere action flick Bridge of Dragons starring Dolf Lungdren or.. lundgren... lundergreen? anyway it has two fellows that looks almost like pirates being shot after another, one falls, theres a cut-away, then back to the other one falling. less than a minute later you see the same two guys getting shot and falling in a single uncut shot from a different angle.
