Current Canucks tough guy? That's a tough question...how does one weigh their response? Success against other tough guys, or success against middle weights. One would think that Dale Weise would be at the top of the list, but only being willing and able to fight players such as Horton, Clifford or Foligno this season, he should not even be considered. So who does that leave? Lapierre? Wow...if he is the number 2 guy, then the Canucks need help. Should have kept Hordichuk.
Love how Gino's always trying to get his shirt off. He knows its a hindrance in a fight and is to his advantage to have it off. Too bad the fights don't usually last long enough or at least the ones in this vid to have it do much good. Also Gino's such a rotweiller like vicious scrapper that the opponent is usually extricating the process by grabbing on to his shirt for dear life trying to contain him. Always laugh at the pussies on the side who just grab on to each other watching like dancers.
God that last fight needs subtitles sooo badly. I'm just imagining gino yelling "Common you little shit stop runnin and fight me! Yeah thats it! Now jersey me bitch! Yeah! YEAH! NOW I GOT YOU WHERE I WANT YOU!"
i dont know who is the new "tough guy" but gino is the alltime best and i'll never forget when he took on almost the whole st louis team!!! bring him out of retirement !!!!!
As an import hockey fan from the UK I remember the first night Gino played and fought. I was there. These vids bring back memories....thanks for posting.
Ahhhh Gino, if only you were still playing?! You maybe could have helped after your Canucks got their asses handed to them tonight against the Blues. Go FLYERS!!!
Great Video! Imagine Rick Rypien going around like that #1 Video now-a-days. He would earn himself a big suspension but it would be amazing. The crowd was going insane in most of those! GO CANUCKS GO!
There was a criminal lack of Gino Odjick videos on YouTube before this video...good work!
For the current best fighter, of course it's Darcy Hordichuk. He's the team's only heavyweight, despite his small size. He didn't have a great fight card last year, but he's still a top-10 fighter in the league.
Brashear was no light weight either. For me, Odjick was more of the "soul" of a fighter, and had more popularity than Brashear. Brashear though was a better player and couldn't we do with a combo like those two on today's team. Patty Quinn knew how to make a team!
