@drkzzz89 I've owned my 2005 Ford 500 for 3 years now and I have had no problems with it except for the 6 disc CD changer needing reset (removing the fuse for a few seconds then put back in) twice since I've owned it, which is no biggie. It is a great car, roomy, comfortable, runs quiet, and is great in the snow, the only downside is the gas mileage, 17-18 mgg city and 20-23 highway. But it's a very safe and reliable car for me, my husband and our 3-year-old son.
Definitely NOT the car I would buy because I'm more with the sporty vehicles, but damn.. I saw one on the street and its BIG!! I loved that, I had to look up from my car. Sport cars are to have your butt sitting on the floor and this car far from being nice and having a beautiful interior looks so comfortable.

The new Taurus is not related in any way to the older models other than the name. The 2010 Taurus is too big & too overpriced to be marketed to the folks who bought the older Taurus models. Ford screwed up with this car & the naming & re-naming of it.

But Ford had plans to resurrect the Taurus (as we know now). They decided to position it as the flagship while the Fusion takes the mid-size segment. I love the new Taurus. Its very good looking and competitive IMO.
@rowsdower12 But the public isn't so stupid as to think that this is any relation to the old Taurus. It's MUCH too big (with a price tag to match) & isn't what their old customer base would buy. I'd take a Fusion over this overgrown car any day.

Ok. My first dislike about this video is that they talk BS when they say its a slow car. IDK if its just that he hadthe AWD version that made it slower but when i step on the gas it goes. I like the gearbox in it unlike alot of people. You step on the gas at 60it drops a gear hits 6 grand and shifts back up giving it a realy nice pass. I also like the botton for traction controle because when you get stuck in snow its better for you to have it off then on. I live in michigan so i need that.

I am not a Ford fan, but I bought one of these for my kid. It is very nice. Ford did an excellent job not to meantion the 2010 Taurus SHO at the Ford lot was really cool. Ya gotta check one out.
my dad works for the federal reserve and they use this as one of the travel cars and it is SO nice if you got in and they took the brands off and stuff you could mistake it for a mercedes (inside!!)

We a have the 2006 Five Hundred, and it is wonderful! Much quieter than the Honda Civic (at least the 97 Civic DX), and it is very roomy. I haven't seen a problem with the acceleration (it is quite good, all things considered). Believe it or not, it is roomier (for passenger space) than the 2003 Ford Explorer.
If there's one thing I don't like about the 500, it's handling hills. The car is so heavy, the MPG plummets if you're not on the highway. I live in the country back roads, and I get 19MPG on a *good* day (that's the minimum rating of this car). The car I owned before this, a Volvo S40, is rated 20-27 and I'd get at least 25 driving the same roads.
So yeah. You really need to consider your driving habits when looking at this car.
My mother has an 06 ford five hundred and I love it, very roomy, very comfortable, reasonable milage for the size, and very quiet even over 80. Only problem I have with it is it feels underpowered. I'd love to see a super charger on one of these, or a GT version with some more power.
