  • get out of my school...creep

  • @xXxX411XxXx You are kidding me, aren't you?

  • Update: This elevator has the past couple of years been getting A LOT of attention from KONE. While nothing has changed, they do a ton of work in the machine room, in the shaft, and on the fixtures. Also suzzex, since you came to Amity last, they installed security cameras!

  • @airplanegod Did they do that in honor of me? :D

  • @suzzex No, sorry, lol. They did that because of an increase of smoking and drug use.

  • @lolctusachina Walking to the principal saying someone took pictures of an elevator? I think he/she has better things to deal with...

  • Amity 04 here. This elevator was open for business in 1995. Possibly installed in 1994. The major additions to the school were in 2007, but the school was essentially rebuilt in the mid 90's. So this elevator is as old as the students who use it today.

  • @jjred86 Thanks so much for the info!

  • Hi Amity class of 09 here. Good to know we had a nice elevator, Shame though that students are not allowed to use it unless they medically need it. Curious to know how you even got in the place, didn't security chew your nuts off, they sure chewed mine off the following fall after I graduated when I came back for paperwork

  • @KJCFilmCorp LOL I was here for a convention held on a Saturday.

  • My high school had a Montgomery, as well as a couple of Otis elevators and 2 more ThyssenKrupp elevators!

  • @skidv25 Holy cow! My high school has 2 Schindlers, a Dover and a Midland!

  • @suzzex It was a private school, so when you add in the elevators from the middle and elementary schools, you end up with a total of 8 elevators from 4 manufacturers! (Otis, TK, Montogmery, and Schindler) They just can't make up their mind!

  • A montgomery in a School? How epic... All of the schools I've been to have ThyssenKrupp Impulses and Auroras, nothing too exciting...

  • @KyFriedPlatypus That's what I was thinking.

  • Awesome Job! And actually, I just found out that the motor is interestingly enough directly BEHIND the shaft. In the boys bathroom next to it, you can hear the hydraulic motor much better.

  • @airplanegod I used the bathroom upstairs D:

  • @suzzex Oh, and we all love the extremely instant door close!

  • @airplanegod I also love how your school doesn't key it off. Why is that?

  • @suzzex Honestly, I have no clue, I was suprised myself, lol! I think it's because students with disabilities quickly need it to switch between classes, and teachers need it to wheel carts around.

  • @airplanegod It's actually pretty cool having a school elevator with a key, like mine, because your allowed to ride the elevator as long as you legitimately have the elevator key. (Which I do, but not really legitimately :D)

  • @suzzex my school is the same they have a dover elevator 3 floors and they do not key it off i will not be able to ride it til the 2011-2012 school year because my principal does know i like elevators so he lets me ride it 1 time a year and i already rode it this year so i will get it next year but i wish i could get it again this school year

  • @Elevator3322 He/She seems like a nice person, so maybe asking again nicely might get ya some where :)

  • @suzzex well the thing is that i would not be able to use my camera because no cell phones no cameras so i can onoly get it in on open house in october sorry if he will let me on the last day of school with a camera i will get it then but so far its going to be in october
