@stormerz2 Oshawott. His final form is pretty balanced in stats and he has the least weakness unlike the grass one Snivy who's weak to five types and has low attack and sp.attack. Tepig is probably the second best because he can learn many different type attacks, but he also lacks good defenses and AGAIN is a dual fire/fighting starter -_-

I am honestly sick of them making the Fire type starters' final type a Fire/Fighting... so bad... they've done it since Ruby/Sapphire... they sucked then and they still suck now. They need to stray away from Fire/Fighting... seriously... it is pretty sad when Typhlosion was the last decent Fire type starter.... Charizard obviously being the best.

If you haven't chosen yet; get oshawott, I've beeten the game with them all and it went the fastest and easiest pokemon training wise. Plus, oshawott can learn better moves than the others except for the other's specials (leaf blade/heat crash)

I chose Tepig, just so I didn't disrupt the balance. I later ate both of their teams alive, using my EV training I didn't tell them about. :P

I doubt pokemon will ever be on another system besides a Nintendo made one, Pokemon saved Nintendo's life (They were on the verge of bankruptcy before Pokemon Yellow) so I don't think they'll ever want to give up their big money maker.But instead of making fail pokemon they should work on the story more and make the gym battles harder. Beating Brock on pokemon yellow was pretty hard if you started with Charmander, which is what made it fun. I still remember the trouble I had all those years ago.

The franchise helped revive Nintendo, whose sales had been waning.(I'm talking about the gameboy) The gameboy definitely wasn't doing to good back in the early 90s, which is why if there was no pokemon the system would of probably died out.
