@Lostprophetzzz They couldnt take any risks no more. Due to the fact any attempt to arrests ended up in a gunfight and them escaping. They already reached them too close to take any risks.
@Lostprophetzzz Quoting Wiki's article on these two "The efficacy of calling out a warning to Clyde Barrow before an ambush was demonstrated by Dallas Sheriff Schmid at Sowers, Texas in November 1933. At his call of "Halt!" there was a smattering of gunfire from the outlaw car, a sweeping U-turn, and then rapidly vanishing taillights: Ambush over. Hinton later called it 'the most futile gesture of the week.'"
It's much better for cops to get gunned down instead of known bank robbers/killers.
True story: CW Moss was a composite of many different characters all male who were kept around not only to aide in the bank robberies but also to satisfy Bonnie's insatiable nymphomaniac sex drive. Clyde was not a fag nor not interested in sex -- he just could not keep up with Bonnie. The death scene shown here? Pretty accurate altho I think I remember reading they were both in the car when they got machine gunned to death. Thanks for posting. Great scene.
@fallenangel1508 agreed!!! my tummy dropped when they locked eyes and she smiled at him, so heartbreaking. but very good movie, good job warren and faye!
given the time and era i honestly believe if bonnie would have been out of the car instead of beside clyde they wouldnt have shot her and just given her time in prison. since they blamed all the murders on clyde and his brother. ??? agree or disagree??? godbless. in the real shoot out clyde did not get out of the car and there was towns people who gathered for souviners. like blood on hanky and tried pulling her hair. out. our ancestors was some weird people back then. lol
So young;even though they took many lives;especially policemen;they went a little overboard with the firing;i guess it was vengeance;adrenaline flowing from all the dead cops ;who werent so lucky;sen this movie in the early 70s at the theatre;always one of my favorites ;aslo had the newpaper from a few different states with the headlines;the ones i took from the archive yrs ago ...muahhhhhhhhh
Its gonna be so weird to see hilary duff getting shot multiple times lol. I hope she plays bonnie well, she was pretty cool in ghost whisperer, hopefully bonni and clyde will get her taken more serious as an adult actress
@mrkodster uh very few people live after 22 gun shot wounds to the head and torso. . so i guess they went to bye bye land. glad to have helped you learn something. godbless.
killing two guilty but defenseless people with a literal FUCKTON of bullets...

@MrRytuklis it was pretty simple at that point...
just tell them to put their hands up and if they did attempt to make a break for it then open fire....

so let me get this straight? ...the old man, who bonnie called "Malcomn" , did he distract Clyde and of course, Bonnie, while the cops shot at them?
the cops waited in the bushes and then when the old man ducked, they (cops) shot them? ...did that old bugger really trick them like that? seriously?
Damn... aint that some shit

2:15 Uncle Jessie from Dukes of Hazzard! He was so mean in this role, but in the Dukes of Hazzard he is so kind and loving. He's sucha a great actor.

the look she gave him at 1:15 that was like a last "i love you" look. she knew they were both gonna die right there. what an ending!
