  • I know in Kyokushin they added spin steps in the Pinan Ura series, and I understand the logic behind it. What, pray tell, is the intended purpose of doing the kata in reverse? Is there certain bunkai applications involved, or is it another way to work the mind?

  • kyokushin karatekas dont perform the katas as beautiful as traditional karatekas, such as goju-ryu, wado-ryu or shotokan... i have to admit that, even as a kyokushin karateka.
