  • u r a big fool for branding this masterpiece worst...idiot!

  • 'silekunfunmi, mofewole' makes me think dirty thoughts lmao

  • if one guy come yarn me this in yoruba, i go melt o. obviously onlytheworst doesn't understand yoruba why else would he/she label this beautiful creation as been one of the worst poems. smh

  • I love this poem to pieces, poster is an ásshole for calling it the worst ever. .

  • Lol, he goes off on a tangent about spinnage.

  • It is a great Poem Lost in Translation

  • One of the best poem ever! Onlytheworst, u r ignorant!!

  • onlytheworst sorry, if you are good or better, post 1 poem in yoruba. then i can be sure u r not sick

  • one of the best yoruba movie ever , so cultural , the poem is great if you yoruba

  • there is no way u can translate the meaning of everything he is saying. you just need to understand the language. this is by far the best yoruba poem i've heard.

  • O LE KU; one of my favourite nigerian movies of all time. Watched the movie over and over. It was spectacular.

  • Ok everyone - look. The english translation that is subtitled is no doubt one of the most cheesy and nonsensical poems I've ever seen in a movie. Perhaps it is so much better in Yoruba? Can anyone provide a better translation?

  • i do not intend to be rude onlytheworst, but for you to judge a poem read in a language you do not understand based only on its english interpretation is irresponsible. I however must thank you for posting it since it affords us the opportunity to savour the beauty of this beautiful rendition

  • The writer means the best poem. Sorry, it must be a typographical error, otherwise he/she must be a joker for calling this the worst poem.

  • I am a poet, and anyone who thinks this Yoruba poem is the worst lacks poetic and basic intelligence. This is a masterpeice, it is one of the deepest love poems I have ever heard!

  • hahahaha...na lie..sorry for sayin..if uare a yoruba..uu be fake one o!!!...believe me and u..this poem is the best till now!!

  • love it may use it lol

  • the poster just wanted to draw attention of people to the poem by branding it worsy

  • This is super good. I think u need medical attention for branding this poem worst.

  • @addeyfat nopee, this is pretty bad. do u even write poetry??

  • Comment removed

  • @addeyfat then its the english trabslation. and i understand poetry. i write it. i know its a metaphor. its just kind of cheesy.

  • @addeyfat

In that case you'd need some medical attention for calling this super good.

  • i love this poem...........nice

  • the 1st time i heard this poem...i dont really understand wat it was sayin...but few year later...when i hear it again...it can never be compare to other poems out there....

  • I agree with you, obviously the uploader does not understand yoruba, moreso since the movie does not use the anglised yoruba that most people speak today.

  • Wonderful poem, there is no real english interpretation for deep yoruba words. Me like it.

  • 'Onlytheworst' most likely does not understand Yoruba. The english transcription cannot capture the richness of the 'ewi'. Also, there needs to be an awareness and indeed socialisation into yoruba culture to fully appreciate the beauty of the poem.

  • wat is wrong with this poem...i love it more than anything else...
