The funny thing is the guy who made this game has flat out said that his games are NOT art.

And if you like KH, you should check out some of the final fantasy games whose characters get cameos in it, like Final Fantasy VII, from which Cloud, Sephiroth, Yuffie, Cid, Tifa, Zack, and Aerith/Aeris hail, or Final Fantasy X, which is the origin of Tidus, Wakka, Yuna, Rikku, Paine, and Auron. In fact, FFX!Auron is the same Auron in KHII.

So whilst it will not be a direct sequel The Last Guardian may make some connections with SotC and/or ICO.

@kazzdude1 They are going to remaster it in HD, increase the framerate to 60fps (most likely) and add a collection of trophies for it when it comes out in the Classics HD catalogue of games for PS3, and ICO. I know that's not a remake of the game in the sense that you probably mean but it will definitely drastically improve the look and performance of the game (as the framerate was often a little choppy during the colossus fights) and the trophies will be a great reason to replay it as well :)

That was the entire point in the game, and what made it so beautiful. Simply story, boy loves girl, girl dies, boy tries to bring her back. You have to fill in the blanks yourself. Its not trying to be the best ever game

@fattyboy555 i think that they leave the story simple to keep the simplistic nature of the game. one reason that you feel a conection to th charicters and feel bad for the wanderer is because of some great cutsceans and realistic animations. this game is not complex enough to be a book or a movie but, it has just as much tendancy to capture your emotions and manipulate them.

Zelda has more combat and secrets. This is much more artful and epic. Zelda's boss fights cannot touch this, as it's a game based on boss fights. As for the story, Both games are very "fairytale" so it all comes down to which seems more unique and inviting to play. I like Shadow because it came out of nowhere and is very original. It also seems more epic because of what this guy has to go through to bring his love back, whereas Link has to beat some sort of main villain. I loved this game.
