@darkarts59 It's a concert in memory of Steve Marriot so obviously these artists are there to pay there respects by playing the songs of his career. To say leave well alone, is saying don't bother remembering. I'm a big fan of The Small Faces and personally I think this is great version of a great song. Noel & Paul are huge fans of Marriot and hence why they're playing at his memorial concert. They pass his music on to the next generation as it should be.

As someone who loves the Small Faces and the Jam, I appreciate seeing the torch being passed on from decade to decade. The Small Faces were one of the originals from the mid-60s. Weller's Jam took the torch from them and carried it in the late 70s and early 80s. Then Oasis. This is a fitting and well deserved tribute and show of respect to Marriott, Mac, Ronnie Lane and Kenney Jones.

Noel Gallagher should never have been let near a Small Faces song. And Weller...well, he's always been great doing his own stuff but I reckon he lacks the sensitivity to do justice to Marriott and Lane and Co.
