The sheep who said "Oh. So, I suppose someone waves a magic wand & poof! Our wool turns you into a blanket, & lands on your be-aah-aah-aah-aah-ed!" was that Henson or Clash?
The parts that the she-sheep sings, to me, sounds like the part from the Eddie Money song "Take Me Home Tonight" where the female back-up singer sings. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I remember this I was only little it was so fab. I used to get loads of pillows infront of the TV with a duvet and a drink of milk or somtimes water and I used to get comfy and watch Sesame Street when it was all over I put the duvet and pillows away. Then when Sesame Street come on the next day. I did the same thing. The sheep are cute. What is the name of the lady sheep?
dam, this is a favorite tune of mine from SS, i am 23 from Bahamas, and stuff like these always make me feel 7 and 6 years of age......the innocence of a child is golden
Hooray! This short is still alive! (judging from people's comments and also from the "dinging" transition at the begining, this came from a very recent airing.)
I saw this on "Sesame Street" in November 2006. I saw the new version of "Everybody Eats" the same day. I saw this on "Sesame Street" in September 1997.
I had no idea that Bert had so much fun at night when Ernie isn't there to bother him! LOL! That female sheep sure can sing! I love the ending-cute song.
It's funny how for a few years there after Jim Henson died and they found a new performer for Ernie, they had Bert go solo for a while, trying to make interesting skits for the straightman by himself.
Actually, it occured to me recently---everyone always says Ernie is the funny one and Bert is the straight man. But if you think about it, it's actually BERT we're laughing at most of the time. Ernie does funny, silly things, but it's mostly to get a reaction out of Bert. And it's those expressions of frustration, slack-jawed looks of astonishment, and exasperated mutterings that are actually where most of the humor's coming from.
Exactly. Goofball/straight man comedy centers around that balance. One does goofy and silly things and the level-headed one usually finishes the humor off by highlighting the absurdity in the other's actions either by reaping the consequences or reacting humorously.
That female sheep can't sing; she can SANG!!!! I'd rather watch classix like these than an episode of "Elmo's World," where Elmo sings everything in the tune of "Jingle Bells." Soooo freakin' repetative and no variety!!
I agree. Elmo's world is repetetive. This song is kind of a paradoy of the Shangrila's song leader of the pack based off of Bert saying get the picture. Sheep: Yes we See!

Some parts of this song kind of remind me of Have You Seen Her by the Chi-Lites.

That's a terrific song, both informative and really catchy! Wonderful. (Btw, nice to hear that the Count has found a friend in Ernie.)

Someone needs to give that girl sheep a recording contract with like Arista or Virgin! That child can SANG!! :)

@gameshowluvr86
LOL, someone get Simon or Clive Davis on the phone. The girl sheep sounds better than some of these people today who have recording contracts.
