Actually during the making of Mothers Milk and BSSM Anthony was completely clean and Flea and John were primarily just smoking weed according to Scar Tissue. I just read it. Hence the songs Knock me Down, Under the Bridge, etc. Anthony was looking back on his experiences.

They honestly couldn't again in a million years, find the kind of compatibility they found in Chad and John ever again. This was an awesome show...my first RHCP show and they came out in diapers and Filas and nothing else. The injuries that occured to fellow concert goers at that show was insane!
