Has anyone been able to make out all the lyrics?

Ive got alot figured out but a few parts Im not sure.

Is the 1st & 5th words of the song "Dig" or "Take"?

Is the last part of the chorus' "with the rain" or "when it rains"?

Also, the last 2 lines of the 2nd verse. Both lines start out with "Watches you". I think the 1st line is "Watches you sleep" but Im not 100% sure, and for the 2nd line, I cant firgue out anything other than "Watches you".

Can anyone figure any of it out?

They should put out a record that is just the demos of these songs. These songs need to breathe and not have all the dynamic range taken out of them in mastering. Hey, Augustana, if you're reading this, put out a record in the likeness of Ryan Adam's 'Demolition'.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT! YOU EXPRESSED MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS BAND PRECISELY! Augustana is really a folk/country group and you get these guys to make pop records, it's not really right. However, I can't discard all their final efforts because even though the earlier versions sound just as good, the new versions have a new take to it.

Everyone loves Heart Shaped Gun though. ;)

Their record company probably said this version wasn't "radio friendly", whcich i disagree with. The other version is good too, but this one definatly is a lot more earthy and natural.

yeah, i mean, the ep is okay, but on all the songs, it just really sounded unnatural. Like "Hey now". It sounds really dark, but the other versions sounds really nice and "Augustanaish". I don't know if they got a different producer this time, or a different lable, but something different. And it's not the new members since this is written with them

yes it's different, they sort of "commercialize" this song and make it more of a "pop" song to fit their album. Augustana really is an Americana/Alternative country band.

I love this song I saw them at sunfest and they were kinda under the influance and well he pulled out his amp chord out by accident nd the backs stage people we motioning to him and stuff and then stood up on the drums and bent it. it was kida funny :)
