@langesbury ... what belongs to the blokes is always THE stuff, aye mate? or once again raking up the Lara Vs Tendulkar thingy or for that matter, Damien Matryn Vs Sachin LOLL... having a true eye for the sport ?
What`s the max level you`ve ever played at ??
grow up !!! if you need help then go look at his statistics for the last 12 months, you`ll know what you`ve been missing mate ...
@langesbury : U ve got gr8 taste buddy. The Rubbish Ten'overrated'kar is about to register his 100th international century, is part of a side that is No.1 since 2009 & is current world champion and he also the Wisden Cricketer of the year, LG people's choice cricketer of the year and the ICC player of the year. No wonder every1 RATES him so high.
Agreed - statistically they are ahead and will continue to remain that way. Just like how England were ahead - thats because of all the games played when more nations started playing test matches in the 40's 50's and 60's. Ofcourse the new comers didnt immediately start beating Aus & Eng. Eng & Aus will statistically be ahead against all teams that began in the 40's & 50's. However look at the stats over the last 30 years... should be slightly more even.
@nit78 NO doubt, You were the ultimate champs buddy.. But we r no 1 now. Not yet a World champion Test team but World cup winners for sure..Nd whats more we knocked u out of this world cup too..
India needs some quality fast bowlers, until then they will always be mediocre. Some of the best batsmen in the world, eg Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag, Dhoni, but if you can't get 20 wickets you cant win the match. Harbahjan cant do that every game.
True; But I think India has managed their own without getting embarressed. Number 1 to the world, but not number 1 against india. Never the less, wont take any credit away from Australia - they are awesome.
I look forward to the Tri Series.. India havent playes Australia in 2 years in ODIs, so this one weather permitting will be very interesting.
Yeah - Sachin had just hit McGrath for 3 sixes. This is one of the quarter final match of the 2000 Champions Trophy held in Nairobi. India won by 20 runs. I would love to see the remainder - Yuvraj singh made his batting debut and scored 84. Zaheer Khan got Gilchrist and cleaned up Steve Waugh during the chase.

Tendulkar is rubbish. Lara would have smashed that off the back foot. Saying that Damien Martyn is a better player to watch than Tenoverrattedkar

"but not number 1 against india" Yeah, you keep telling yourself that. ODI head to head encounters -
Australia wins: 49 India wins: 27
Test Head to Head - Oz wins: 32 India wins: 15
We own you - it's as simple as that.

Oh and McGrath's figures read - 9 overs - 0 maidens - 61 runs - 0 wickets.
