@Pantherblack This is a re-imagining of the series, so it is technically a reboot. Panthro is in the series, but he is separated from the rest of the group.

Where's Panthro? Just askin'. Also, I'm a bit confused--to whom do those mechs belong? If it's the Plundarians, why bother with catapults and sword-wielding infantry? I'm a big fan of the original, and I sincerely hope the remake does justice to the franchise. I like the characterizations of Wily-Kit and -Kat and Cheetara. Tygra's stil got that whip (please give him something ELSE!).

Oh. My. God! This looks amazing!! I remember watching the 80's version on Toonami back when I was growing up in the 90's! So many awesome memories, so many cool characters, so much nostalgia!

Gah, this show looks epic, animesque style and all! And Will Friedle is voicing Lion-O too?! Sweet! After having watched him as the voice of Terry McGuiness on "Batman Beyond," I have no doubt he'll do justice to this role.

I so can't wait to watch this! Hurry up July, DANGIT!!

While I did enjoy the interesting juxtaposition of a child's mind in an adult body, that was almost certainly contrived to exploit a boy's sense of physical inferiority, much like the old miraculous muscle-building ads in comic books. Also, a good many of 1980s fantasy heroes looked like sweaty beefcake steroid abusers, and I'm OK leaving that look behind. This looks like a good update to the franchise.

@joeafish I don't think it looks all the same either. Some things recreated are better, some worse, some just different. The remake treatment of Transformers and GI Joe for example, I really didn't care for. Objectively speaking, they were simply not good films. This looks like a case where they're doing it righ (whether it needs doing at all is another question entirely).
