This song it's about their former bass player Justin Sane suffered from depression, and wrote this suicide note. He tried killing himself with cough syrup, and failed to do so Part 2 is about why he souldn't have done it. And what it would of been like without it.

He spent about 3 months in a mental institution. "When he got out is was like he was always on acid" - M. Shadows. It was to the point where the band jus couldn't take it anymore. So Justin had to go.
