you should consider joining Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI). It is a great organization which meets once a year and puts on a four day convention. Check it out! Great show. Thanks for the videos.
thats awesome, now till 4th of july im going to buy a "few" fire works online every so often, by the 4th ill have a nice stash and maybe combine some stuff, make some cool little projects with them, but not fire works like this, anything self propelled is illegal out here and theres cops roaming around every where here but theres still alot of nice stuff i can do
i did enjoy the show dood and where do you live its sounds to quite the only sound i here in the back ground its cars and some other fireworks oh and where do you get your fireworks from
I've already got the ones for this year. It took while before they got posted because I had several segments to work with, stitch together, and eventually segment for YouTube.
As far as I know, fireworks aren't sold in my area during the New Year. The only time they were was in 2000 (the new millennium actually starts on 2001 though (there is no year 0 and a millennium is 1000 years, years 1 to 1000 meaning the second millennium started on 1001 and the third on 2001)). Besides, it's freezing cold in my area during that time and I can't tolerate cold well (much below 75F and I start getting uncomfortable).
Do a couple cakes at a time to get better results. You shoud of went to your neighbors it sounded like they had a pretty good show, you should of put your two shows together. Anytime you need help let me know I have my own company where I perform firework shows, and I can give you some pointers. Alot of what you did needs to be deleted for your future shows
Given this, it appears that you are a pro, with a pyro license. I'm limited, by law, to 500 grams. This is because I don't have a pyro license. In ND, 500 grams is the limit.
i have 2 qs how much did all the fireworks u got cost and in 14 gettin fireworks in uk but i dno should i get big 1ns of just little stuff like firecrackers smoke bombs and daytime fireworks that will last me longer
If you used complete sentences without things like "u" and "1ns", I could make out what you're after for the second part. For the first one, it's about $180.
What, not legal in your area? Red flag warnings (from things like drought)? Didn't buy any due to the weak economy and the need to watch the spending?
Mostly just trying to watch my money at the moment. I did just get some bottle rockets and a few other smaller items yesterday, those are always fun to light off every once in a while.
Two reasons why I don't: I'm not sure it's legal (that's more than 500 grams going off), and it's too dangerous. Just one of those 500-gram ones alone is already dangerous enough as it is (a 10 mph dash away from it is no joke - I really get distance and fast!).
@ulillillia The 500gram rule only applies to each individual firework and how its made. As long as you don't alter the cake to go over the 500gram limit you are fine. There's no law about how you shoot your own fireworks show.
@ulillillia Also, if you use visco fuse, you could attach your cakes to fire one after another so you don't actually have to shoot two at once (if you're still concerned about that). The other benefit to using visco is that you can extend the time that the cake goes off after you light it so you can walk to the safe distance and then record it.
These big fireworks are more dangerous than firecrackers, much more. Thus, a high running speed is essential. If I wasn't recording, I may have peaked at 12 or 13 mph running away. The more distance you have, generally, the safer you are.

I don't have a pyrotechnics license and thus I'm limited to consumer-grade fireworks, class C if I recall.

Some do more than I do, some do less, others don't light fireworks at all. I practically don't know my own neighborhood!

definetly enjoyed the show. How much did all these fire works cost?
Roadblock1080 2 years ago
About USD$170, with 7% tax included (~160 without tax). It's the second-highest thus far.
