i saw these guys live two weeks ago in toronto...was really psyched in anticipation but after the first song they just sucked. They can put on a good show and connect well with the crowd but they sound like shit live. They need to get a better sound team to set them up cuz suicide season had some good music... and when you just push every damned instrument into overdrive, it just sounds like shit because it loses all those nice details.

Dir en grey's performance at Wacken 2007 was embarrassing to watch, Kyo's voice was shit there, the songs were thin and piercing and The marrow of a bone Dir en grey did not belong at Wacken.

Uroboros and Dum Spiro Spero Dir en grey however does belong at wacken. it's heavy, it has death elements, Kyo's voice is great and more metal than ever.

BMTH never belonged at Wacken.

Oh ya and let's get one thing out in the open. Oli was terrible here. No, he can't use the "it's the last song of the set, his voice is tired" bullshit. If he was screaming properly he wouldn't have that problem. Also, no matter how long you've been screaming, if your doing it properly your voice won't just "give out". Look at guys like alexi laiho from bodom or John Henry from darkest hour. Theyve been doing it several years longer than Oli and they can still perform well live.
