I don't see any secret tactics, although I'll have to say that the less the enemy know about how you operate can give our guys the edge necessary to win the fight. Only those who are complacent train on marksmanship and not on real life tactics. Terrorist today aren't the same who high jacked planes in the 70s and 80s. Todays terrorist are highly trained operatives, who know who to blend in and shoot as good as any well trained officer.

1) The ud marshall services dont train in Atlantic City, they train in Egg Harbor Twp soothing range which is 10 minutes away from Atlantic City.

2) I think this whole marshall thing is a great idea,, but im still not going to feel fully safe because most likely there is not going to be one on my fly, lol

And yet, you aren't permitted the tools to effectively defend yourself. So if the hijacker broke the law (unthinkable, I know) and smuggled a weapon on board, you're defenseless. Good for you for obeying the law and getting killed!

By contrast, if everyone was allowed to carry a weapon on board, the peaceful, law abiding travelers would always outnumber and outgun any potential hijackers.

@1andy2 Too closely enclosed and too many potential bystanders. Most people don't have the training, accuracy, or experience to deal with CQB situations. What would happen at 20000 ft if a round went sideways and punctured the airplane? Massive depressurization of the cabin and possible blow out making the hole larger. That's all you really need to do to bring one down.

@1andy2 Realistically this would be a bad idea because most people arent trained in the use of a firearm. Different scenarios call for different strategies. Example: If the terrorist takes a hostage at gunpoint and uses them for a shield would you take the chance of killing that hostage not knowing wheather theres another terrorist prepared to grab another one. Someone could also risk shooting into the fusolage and blowing the plane up midair. Many things could go wrong with untrained people.
