Thanks for making and posting this. Where The Wild Things Are was my favorite book as a kid (and its still my favorite childrens book ..shhhh!) and now I love the movie. Max Records is a good actor and I think the movie was well done. I wish they had put this song in the movie because it is so fitting.

just finished watching this film for the first time,its unlike anything else really,my childhood film was the neverending story which is quite similar in some respects,i did enjoy this film but for me the neverending story will always be better,it has more characters and he actually goes on a quest,if anybody hasnt seen the neverending story i highly recommend it!

carol's"dream city"was similar to max's buildings in his room.and carol is also jealous about the two owls as max is jealous about his mum's boyfriend.and both of them feel lonely.

anyway,thats just my opinion.

all i know for sure is that i LOVED this movie.

The metaphorical level of this movie is beyond the reach of the imagination of any average human. The people who wrote this movie had hearts the size of the movie"s intenseness. Watching this movie makes me want to go back and read the book for the millionth time (after having read it and having had it read to me so often as a young child) and find out if the book was this metaphorical. It is such a great idea to portray the people in his life within the characters he met on his journey.

For example, the one that always gets angry (forgot his name) is likely to represent his father, because his parents are divorced, etc. And overall, for anybody who got the metaphor of this movie and has dealt with problems in there life involving those close to them, I believe this film is very relatable to them and could help people look at their situations more positively.
