hey did the cherry bomb make a huge difference verses the glass pack because i got a thrush glass pack at the moment and im thinking of makeing it louder with a high flow cat but im not sure on the idea  got any ideas of your own besides just rememving the muffler or cat?

No way dude. The Hemis run 390 horsepower, these have around 230. Not the strongest, but the Chrysler 318 is one of the best sounding engines I know of.

the mid 1990s 318 came with 220 horsepower, in my truck, put 80000 miles on it, dirty plugs, stock exhaust manifolds, and an ram air filter, i'm making about 190 horse power, but in a 6000 lb truck, i can still beat a stock ricer off the line

Yes and no, they have a huge powerband from about 3,000-6,000 RPM's that'll put you back in your seat, but from 800RPM's (Where they idle) to around 2,500 RPM's they're kinda sluggish. The 5.9 Liter is better, but not by much. I have one of both in two 99 Dodge Rams.

Depends on your transmission I suppose, if I mat the truck it shifts at exactly 5000 rpm.

i just got the transmission rebuilt in mine and the stock timing shifts it at 4.9 u get it going over 5 and something is more than likely gonna blow

no it will shift at 4.9 nobody makes an ENGINE (not a motor) that will blow up before it shifts. unless ur transmission fails its gonna shift.
