Proof that Rock doesn't have to be pretty. You say Divinyls and everyone goes, "I Touch Myself". That song and beautified version of Christina marked the death of the Divinyls, not the birth. This version here, is pure art. And it isn't pretty, it's beautiful.
@MrPduff67 Chrissy and Mark were the soundtrack to my youth - a time when Aussie pub music was raw, visceral and not contrived by some crappy image maker. What you saw with Chrissy was real - a reflection of a tortured but phenomenal talent. This song started it all for me. Like you said: forget "I Touch Myself". Just about every other track they laid down was so much better.
I remember seeing this when it first aired...it was on Showtime, I think...blew my mind away. Still does.
