  • so for a shakyhead rod, you need a stiff or a flexible rod?

  • @1995Blackrosedying I would use a medium action rod around 7-foot. Glad you like the videos.

  • @chadmorgenthaler and when you say medium action, do you mean medium power? just wanna make sure.

  • @1995Blackrosedying That's correct - that is what I mean.

  • This guy is really good. I am becoming a fan.

  • Good advice here, I even use 4lb fluoro occasionally, the lakes up here are gin clear and it will get you more strikes then 6 or 8 lb. You just have to take more time to tire the fish out and not horse it to the boat.

  • Damn this guy makes good videos. He knows his sh*t.

  • Using straight braid will get you half as many bites as straight fluorocarbon or a leader. I really pefer straight fluorocarbon with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner and I use a smooth drag reel. Good luck!

  • @chadmorgenthaler i use a medium light 6'6 grandt and its phenomenal for finnese fishing. feel a fish breathe 20 feet down.

  • i love my carrott rod...but damn...6lb test...should that be the diameter or the strength. i use braid line [8lb dia.] and sometimes tie flouro to it..but usually like to run straight braid..is this wrong

  • @n4sir804 braid can spook fish because its highly visible.
