  • what does the first T in NTAPBT stand for?

  • @DRJ187

It North Texas American Pit Bull Terrier Club....oops, I left out the C! lol

  • watch this video: Best Pit Bull championship! Best dog in world!

  • I like how on the last effort they help the dog out so she still accomplishes it...

  • I live in Oklahoma and would love to know the websites or phone numbers to the Oklahoma weight pulling clubs! Please and thanks :)

  • @bluegama500 pit bulls should never EVER exceed 65 pounds.

large dogs are terrible at endurance weight pull because of their size.

  • @ConiferTreez

She is only 31 pounds???? When not pulling she is between 33-35 lbs.

  • Is this how some Pitubulls look exteremly buff?

  • @TheMrSquash

She is only like that when pulling...believe me she carries a few extra "couch pounds" when not working. She is now totally retired to the couch now and is much softer looking :)

  • Congratulations!!!!

See also the video: (best pit bull in action) is quite astounding!!!!

    Thanks for vid!!!

    AmStaffs and Pits 4ever!!!!!!!!

  • aww poor doggy doing her best

  • looks brutal towards the end but if it gives a pitbull a good name then hey, necessary evil

  • Blast from the past! I stopped pulling Loki after she got her UWPCH that year. Working my young dog Terra now. If all goes as planned, I'll see my fellow pullers in Roxton TX in July!

  • I have heard about a pit bulls williness to please and when I wach videos like this one I believe all those people tht say tht

  • @WrestlerNSU

Like with any sport if you do it improperly there can be a risk of injury. Done right, it is a great sport/activity to do with your canine buddy. You have to know your dogs limits also.

  • good dog!!!

  • How much did she pull at the end? and how do i train my dog to pull?

  • @13hara13

I think it was a little over 1600lbs. Find a weight pull club in your area for help with training. You can also visit weight pull clubs on the internet.

    Organizations that do weight pull:

    ADBA

    APA

    UKC

    AADR

    IWPA

  • I only pulled her less than a full season. She is spoiled couch doggie now :-) Just like anything, you can OVER do it. I hope most people keep their dogs well being in mind while competing.

  • I'm looking at getting my pit into pulling. Where would be a good place to find a harness?

  • I live in Tuttle, OK its nice to see people caring for there dogs and letting them have fun!

  • Not bad but what is this robo-sh*t?

  • Sorry, our tape overlapped from a party that we went to where are friend has a "robot ride"

It's a blast! We really should not overlap our tapes so much :lolz

  • Hi, this is Edna with Nutro/Greenies.

  • there a vid on here of an american bulldog pulling 2100 pounds. i have an american bulldog, he pulled mu dodge dokata truck backwards. i had him chained to the bumper and was minding my feed store. a customer came in and said some'THING was stealing my truck....went out and he had pulled it across my parking lot tring to get to a chick'n cadge.. my keys dont work so i hotwire my truch. and i leace it in nutral when im not in it. it was a feet i made him repeat only once.

  • Do you know of any weight pulling events that allow mixed breeds? I've got two 70% pit bulls that are GREAT at weight pulling, but the only one's i've found are apa and they're in tulsa.

  • There are open competitions, look into.

  • whoa thats a strong dog how much she pulling?

  • Thank you. I believe on she finished the day around 1600+lbs on rails.

  • whoa

  • nice dog

  • Beautiful girl.

  • comeon quit putting weights on that poor thing gonna give it a hernia or somthing

  • that chick looks hot!!! bowchickawowwow!

  • that chick looks hot!!! bowchickawowwow

    hehehe

  • Hey great video! My husband and I met you at the Denton show UKC a few weeks ago thanks for all your help, look forward to seeing you around again. Will you be in Norman on the 24th of May? We had the blue male named pork Chop

  • I'm from oklahoma and i'like pitbulls, i would like to know were these competitions are held, please let me know.

  • Just check the ADBA website for upcoming dates of their upcoming weightpulls and conformation shows.

  • It's nice to see some power pulling like that, pits are strong dogs and love pulling. I have huskies and they pull a sled or scooter and love it just the same. I get nasty comments from people most of the time that don't have a clue what animal abuse really is, working breeds like to work especially for recreation. keeping them around the house doing nothing all day for the rest of their lives is the worst type of abuse.

p.s. that robot arm and chair looks like a blast!

  • Thanks! Oh and the robot are IS a blast!!! LOL

  • i like this vid because it shows a personality trait in pit bulls which is they will do anything to try and please there owners. ie no fake chicken, cat or anything used to get her to pull just encouragment.

  • Thank you :) Yes any type of bait is NOT allowed nor should it be. You shouldn't make a dog do anything. Encouragement and instruction build great bonds between people and their dogs :)

  • i wanna see an american bully do that..lol...imitation pitbulls

  • Lets not knock the breed from which the pitbull came.

  • What is CMS TAKTIM?

  • woahh does that not cause injuries though-my dog would never pull anything..pull on the leash though lol

  • It doesn't cause injuries because the whole pull is designed for the dog's comfort, and they only allow healthy dogs to pull.

  • woah what is the weight it pulled?

  • It was about 1700lbs. :)

  • For what its worth, I've never seen a sound, healthy dog injured from doing weight pull. Loki has been pulling since she was about 14 months, and has never been hurt, but has pulled up to 30x her weight. On the other hand, if she walks on concrete, it makes her limp. I've seen dogs injured doing agility, and even just playing in the yard. All risks are relative, IMO.

  • ive got a staff whos a lot bigger than that pure muscle, and i would never put him through that, that is hellish tight, didnt like to watch it

  • Maybe you should get a froofroo dog and not own a WORKING BREED! LMAO!

Exactly 'what' do you do with your dogs? Most likely nothing. Shame.

  • what do you mean...the dogs are breed for stuff like that,,,tha what makes it a pitbull

  • AWESOMEEEE...

    OMG

  • very impressive!! we have a year old pit pup that we're hoping to start pulling with! :) seeing that you're female and have a female doggy inspires me!! thanks!! (i love the robot arm thing!!! lol)

  • Lexi did 50-something times her weight that day. I think it was 55. I don't really remember, though.

(BTW, Loki went on to get her UWPCH, and I'm not pulling her much anymore. Now we're focusing on obedience and agility.)

  • Does she get sore after a pull? And can dogs herniate like people? Pretty impressive for such a small pup. Ours is 42 lb. and full of energy; this inspires me. Love how you let her think she's doing it at the end. Good work!

  • I don't know if you meant "pup" literally, but puppies aren't allowed to pull until they're 12 months old. Loki would've been 3 years old in that vid, and I think Lexi was around 2, maybe a bit less. (Maybe Klarr can clarify for me.) But to answer your q's, I think dogs can get hernias, but a lot of pullers give their dogs a good rub-down once they're done pulling, so that helps with any soreness. (I've never seen my dog get sore after a pull.)

  • I love the random robot arm and fast forwarded bike footage at the end. ??? WTF ???

  • Yeah, that's what happens when you are taping over the previous stuff and don't tape over the whole thing...LOL see ya get 3 mini video's in one. hehe :)

  • I hope they walk well on leash. Could you image?! LOL!

  • Yes, she's not bad on the leash at all....lol

  • OMG soooooooo cute!

  • She's awesome! I miss the shows and the pulls. We rescue now.

    Thanks for sharing this.:)

  • Whoever flagged this video is a weenie. Its a sanctioned, legal, family-friendly competition. Yes, I did correct my dog at one point, because she was still learning to work on the rails system. Its not the end of the world, and she didn't fall to pieces because of it. Thanks, Klarr, for posting this up. :)

  • Go Lexi and Loki!!! I have no idea why this video would be flagged. These dogs are probably having the time of their lives.

  • Haha. I think Lexi is having a better time than Loki. My girl doesn't like the rails, but she's learning. Kudos to YouTube for de-flagging the video. ;-) Some some respect for the working dogs. LOL
