Maybe it's just me, but I've always thought of ground-mounted M134s as a really stupid idea. If you hit a bad guy with 12 rounds of 7.62, he's probably dead. Do you really need to hit him an extra 50 times? Plus you've got to drag a couple hundred extra pounds of gun, gear, and ammo to keep it operational. What a waste! Totally wasteful...
