Yes, I'm chinese but no I don't eat just anything. My dad brought these home so instead of throwing them all away (it was too far away to go return them to sea) I thought I'd try to prepare them. They are a traditional food, usually available dried. Usually we just eat regular things like chicken.

like regular seas cucumber but there was a limey (as in calcium carbonate not the citrus) aftertaste.

and since you probably don't know what regular sea cucumber tastes like.. its like a super thick jello, and it absorbs the flavour of whatever stew you cook it in. It's not known for its flavour. more for its texture.
