Bottom line: it still TAKES ENERGY to split off hydrogen from water, with all the inefficiencies that go with any industrial process and with electric power generation and transmission. With adequate nuclear power production it might move toward making economic sense.
HOLY COW! This video should have way more than 3,071 views! More people should look into this! I would love my ford expedition to run off of this resource!
This is the way of the future... it actually WORKS... unlike solar, or wind power.. and it will solve ALL of our problems ...
Hydrogen is THE MOST COMMON SUBSTANCE in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE!
Electrolysis is easy... the only reason this was dropped was the government cant control it! and if they cant control it, they don't want it.... this needs to be Brought back and we need to tell the government to go piss up a rope!
@nickmitsialis hugely explosive.??? friend... it is no more explosive than petroleum vapors.... your still seeing the Hindenburg in your head! YES IT BURNS! Fuels do that... but that's was 1 INCIDENT... its no more dangerous than gas fumes.
and though i'm no expert on it, i think it uses the idea of some sort of molecular breakdown process... that's why the "membrane ' they mention is so expensive... it doesn't 'burn' hydrogen...
@Larian10 Just what I heard, RE: engines burning 'liquid' hydrogen instead of gasoline; heard even minor fender benders could result in things going 'boom'.
In theory Electrolysis is easy. In practical the electrolysis consumes more energy than you get it from the hydrogen. one more disadvantage is you can't scale the production.

Stupid idea. Having a water based economy is FAR worse than having an oil based economy. I would rather not have water prices skyrocket (which is already scarce in many parts of the world). This is completely stupid.
I noticed you posted this identical comment on several videos without offering any reason why it will never work.. Obviously it does work. Would you care to elaborate?
It's pretty obvious 'bob' is in the pocket of the anti-private-vehicle lobby. He's against anything that frees people from the cities and allows them to go anywhere they please. Battery cars won't allow one to do that, but these fuel cell cars have the promise to be able to supplement or supplant the gas-based car.

@Larian10 so how does it work? Hydrogen as a liquid or a gas is HUGELY explosive; what is the process that energy is obtained?
BTW: I remember hearing him talk about this GM car back in the 'Summer of $4.50/gallon gas..'

I AGREE. Do people think that water just "falls from the sky" ??!!!
Wake up Sheeple ! The 'Government' owns and/or controls ALL the water !!!

Water vapor is a greenhouse gas, "worse" than a CO2 (but both wont hurt the planet Earth, mind you)
