From the description given of "CV-250" it does not necessarily limit religious freedom. It just ensures that hatred isn't being tolerated in sermons or other settings. Anyone can share their view that they belief homosexual acts are sinful, but certainly they don't need to do it in such a way that will comes across as hateful or disrespectful. In a setting where tolerance is valued, hatred should be reprimanded.
Opposition in opinion is perfectly ok! The U.S. is an excellent example of people with differences based on viewpoints, backgrounds, races, cultures, religions, lack of religion, and so on coming together and respecting each other's differences. I do not believe pro-gay people would accomplish much by trying to silence the views of people rooting from religious beliefs. Total acceptance just isn't reasonable or necessary. So please stop using this as a point against gay marriage! Thanks.
and she keeps talking about the silencing of free speech. i'd loove to hear her expand on this cause i honestly don't think she has any backing for this at all. and criticism of homosexuality being illegal is wrong and i disagree with it. but are christians really not content with not being allowed to hurt and hate on a certain grp of people? i thought christianity was all about love...
so the pastor just admitted a flat-out lie. the churches haven't been forced to marry gay couples, it's just an assumption on what will happen. which is false, it's unconstitutional for the government to force the churches to do something that's against their religious beliefs. and the one lady really is talking a conspiracy. gay couples want the right to get married, why do they have to get married immediately after they get the right?
