  • NICE CATCH!!!!!!

  • Great!!! 148 is awesome, like the engineer's style of blowing, unique!! 5 big ones to you and fav!!!

  • Thanks Chris!

  • lol i filmed at that spot,good location,good vid,you've done it again

  • Thanks!

  • did you know that 2500 gallon tank is full with 2500 gallons of sand to balance the loco and give i more weight

  • The sound of those P42's rumbling out of the station was amazing! Loved that Cabbage too, that's a pretty unusual catch! Great job!

  • Thank you!

  • Nice video

  • Thanks!

  • Man you have great sound on this video.

  • Yeah, 148 has a great K5LA!

  • that is great and good lighting.

  • Thank you!

  • Nice quill. Great job Mike

  • Thanks Chris!

  • Awesome shot of the cabbage loco Mike!

    Glenn.

  • Thanks Glenn!

  • nice K5LA.great video.

  • Sweet Video Mike!! Awesome Catch!! Great K5LA!!

  • Love the angle!

  • Awesome!

  • Nice angle Mike!

  • cool, I saw #10 leading the Coast Starlight in tacoma on President's day

  • Awesome catch with the 'cabbage' unit on this train! 5*****!

  • I have shot video of the Coast Starlight at this very platform. Dude this is so insanly hard core with the Cabbage. I have seen tons of different types of engines on the Coast Starlight over the years but never a cabbage. The only Cabbage I have seen like this one in the vid (in this color and all) is the cabbage that runs on Amtrak's Heart Land Flyer train between Oklahoma City and Ft. Worth.

  • I know! The view is spectacular! Thanks!

  • Just a tad north of Santa Barbara is a place called the Gaviota bridge which is like the most hard core'st place on earth to get shots.

  • Yeah, I've been there before too.

  • btw, how do u have two videos posted of the same thing in high and normal quality and when i leave a comment its on both

  • Umm, I only uploaded one vide..its the same video..

  • why do u have the link then

  • Because it doesn't come up in hq, so it just re-loads the page in HQ...

  • i found out the code thingy

  • Good angle! Its nice how you can see the station in the back! :) 5/5!

  • i prefer the station batter, but it looks nice anyways. nice catch of 90278. 148 has a gr8 horn! 148 was on the capitol corridors for a few days

  • You mean you like it from the Station side?

  • Great angle. I never thought of using that angle when I was in Santa Barbara back in Summer 2008. You could see all Northbound trains, however, the blind spot was Southbound. I doubt that the location that you used in this video gave you a better view of oncoming southbound consists, but scanners can prove very useful in situations like these. And no, I do not have a scanner...yet.

  • Actually, it turnsout WAY better! Igot a great shot of 6903 on 784 from the same location on the same day and it turned out great!

  • Next time I go to Santa Barbara, I'll see about using that angle.

    -Alex

  • Way better angle Mike, and nice that you caught 148.

  • Yeah, I did! THank you, Alex!

  • Good K5LA, and a very nice angle here

  • What a cracking video. I much prefer the Santa Barbara station from this angle. It shows off the architecture and the Californian Hills so well. 5* and straight to fav!

  • Nice shot! Beautiful day!

  • Did they ever get the 454 back or do we still have it? last i saw it it was paired up with 90278 that was last month.

  • 454 is back in La and the 90278 came to LA AGAIN about a week ago...
