Tanqeray Number 10 is highly overrated gin. Don't get me wrong - it's mildly sweet and has a blast of juniper that you won't get with "New World" gins but it's too harsh and medicinal. My first test of any gin is straight up at room temperature. If it doesn't pass that, then it doesn't make it into my martinis.

A gin I've recently tried that passes: Victoria Gin from Canada. It's smooth and doesn't feel like you just put a blowtorch in your mouth/nose. Perhaps GinReviews should try that.

Please point me in the direction of a gin with the strongest taste and smell of Juniper you know to exist.

@mikeb1444 Depends on what you are trying to achieve! Gordon's Comes to mind if you are discussing London Dry Land. London Dry's are going to have that strong Juniper taste and smell.

Love tanq! Always with tonic... some reason I messed around tonight and found a good combo. One part gin, one part oj, one part ginger ale, and a splsh of lemon. Im sure its been done, but still good.

@moneyishappiness It's all about what you like. We actually reviewed Bombay Sapphire, while not our favorite, and we don't consider this a london dry, we feel there are other more preferable choices out there.
