  • Nice to see a Russian aircraft that is doing well on the international market. Can't wait to see it in America! Great job Sukhoi!

  • I don't care what anybody says, I'd rather fly in this thing than in an Airbus!

  • 2:52

They don't do that at Airbus or Boeing xD

  • awesome......................

  • Pretty airplane...congrats to Sukhoi!

  • What's with the stick on it's nose? Just looks stupid. To me it's just another Russian plane which only Russians and ex-russian countries really buy.

  • @windowspczone and mexican airline Interjet :)

  • the only thing what this aircraft needs are some big sharklets... what do you think guys? does this airplane needs winglets?

  • It looks just like the embraers of Austral Lineas Aereas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • finally the russians r gonna build a plane thts affordable to everyone!!!!!!!! just like they did wit the AK-47 bitches!!!!!!!!

  • but this one doesnt hurt ;-)

  • Russian jets rock ( i mean the military ones though)

  • One word - Airbuski

  • @MisterAirRanger The safety regulations on Russian aircraft are as good as Western ones. Its the bad maintenance by cheap airlines that brings them down. All of the newer generation of Russian aircraft from the 80s onwards with the exception of the Tu-154 are just as quiet and fuel efficient as Western planes of the same period

  • it has no winglets?

  • Should be the replacement for the 737 which are reaching the age where they're gonna start falling out of the sky.

  • @lukebccb why would the new 737 NGs fall out of the sky?

  • There are 3 types of 737's. The 737-200 advanced, which have been phased out through all of europe and most/all of the USA.

Then there is the 737 classics, ending with the 400. Many airlines still operate this aircraft since they haven been produced in the late 80's through to the late 90's, so still new and with plenty of life. And the 737 NG, ending with the 900. Completely new 737, produced in 1995 and still in production and competes well with the A320.

  • You feel it catching the wind and lifting beautifully.

  • that thing on its nose, looks retarted. otherwise, a nice plane. they should remove that MIG 21 thing from its nose xD

  • in the first few seconds it sound like a diesel engine, lol =)

  • So the Sukhoi 100 is equivalent to the Boeing 737

  • @alongthebluff

    Nope

I would say the a320.Because this plane is fly by wire, and is fully glass cockpit.

  • this lady's nose is very ugly by the way good job Russia

  • looks like an a320........wonder how many non soviet airlines will buy this

  • @xxquiker

"Soviet airlines"??? None. Because there is no Soviet Union and hasn't been for 20 years! Where have you been all that time?

Say non-Russian if you mean that. Soviet. Geez. Some people are still stuck in the past.

If you meant Ukraine or Belarus or even Kazakhstan, say that. Those are independent countries with no control from Russia.

  • Даааа! это не тушка ! при взлёте почти не слышно !

  • Russians/ukrainians- the best civil aircraft fuselage builders in the world! Thumbs up , if you agree!

  • @unatics Looks like nobody else agrees!

  • I'd buy on in a heartbeat...i love it, looks great...

  • I agree and DONT agree with the west ( america )

    1. I agree because russia cant make a SUPER successful plane that is seen all around the world

    2. Americans cant get their problem fixed with their 787 and the Europeans ( Airbus ) now has a problem with their Rolls Royce engines for the A380 so I guess russia is kinda winning

  • We INDIANS are always love RUSSIAN.

    RUSSIANS ARE THE BEST!!!!

  • No dude, Russian aviation is too far for being great. I know it, trust me. It looks sexy but unless absolutely necessary you should avoid taking it.

  • I like that stick in front. When they land they got all the birds for BBQ.

  • Amerikwa sucks. Boeing can't make an airplane these days. Look at the 787; it's 3 years behind schedule and the 747-8 is just an newer version of the existing 747-8, not even a new planeand it's still it's 2 and 1/2 years behind schedule. These Neocons pigs outsourced all of our aviation jobs. When can I work for Russia!!!!

  • @badassjobshopper haha... look at commercial aviation: Russia has 0 succes on these premisses.

  • I think I found the music is played by Philip Glass and the name of the composition is The Hours

  • Russian Planes were always awesome Maschinkas Antonov,Sukhoi,MIG and others and in the closer future the Avationindustrie will evolving and avancing specially on the civil sector. The Military sector is state to the art.

  • Sukhoi Su24 Fencer

    Sukhoi Su32FN Flanker (Su27IB, Su34)

    Sukhoi Su25 Frogfoot

    Sukhoi Su25TM Frogfoot

  • Russian planes are very underrated

  • Sounds great

  • It's good aircraft i think. But it is not only Russian product.

  • I feel happy for them... dunno why? :-)

  • After Malev will start adding SSJ100 to its fleet I hope I'll get the chance to fly with one. Looks like a great plane!

  • The next challenges; the affordable production and the commercial distribution.

  • As Italian I am proud to cooperate with Russians for the production of this new great regional jet... SALUTE!

  • Nice plane! Hello from Belgium

  • Can't wait until Armenian airlines Armavia recieves the first Sukhoi Superjets.

  • wow thats a quiet airplane :)

  • RUSSIAN PLANES = DEATH

  • What is the super sharp nose supposed to do?

  • the best for russia ( from ireland ) the most beautiful takeoff i think i have ever seen

  • @donnchadh5 thank you my ireland friend))

  • @Mihalych1234 your welcome :D

  • Well, smaller than a 737-700, but bigger than an Embraer 175. Not bad and seems to be very technologically advanced.

  • nice aircraft %)

  • Its a Great looking plane id like to have it in my FSX

  • That aside, nice aircraft! :)

  • Congratulations!

This is a perfect cooperation of Russia (Sukhoi), Italy (Alenia Finmeccanica), Armenia (Michail Pogosyan)!

Long life to our glorious nations!

Proud to have such friendly nations!

  • I've just found out the Sukhoi Super jet 100 is coming to the Royal International Air Tattoo @ RAF Fairford 2010. So i'll be seeing it display there !! I hope it comes in the paint scheme that it is in there. It looks great !!

  • With aircraft like this and the soon-to-be constructed MS-21, Russia is proving itself up to aviation standards. I'm sure if they really committed themselves to have an international presence, we could see three big manufacturers. It is possible, look at how fast they developed their nuclear weapons. They just need to see a need.

  • russia rules !

  • this is ukrainian plane

  • @lvn01 you crazy ?

  • Russia and Italian partnership Sukhoi and Alenia space.

  • my god he is so fast!

  • Hello! Question, for what ist the long nose?

  • @AlexanderYK76 its a measuring device

  • i think Sukhoi is a perfect plane to fly. i do love it so much. although people can say whatever they want - russian people do really good planes. i can't wait to travel on it.

  • The go and travel by MALÉV from 2011:D

  • Of course its going to be a Success outside Russia are you serious??????Russia is Awesome Sukhoi is the Bomb

  • sukhoi rulzz dude its the best plane maker in Russia today...

  • looks nice, but i do not think it would be a success outside Russia. The only better known non-russian airline it get orders from is Malév, the rest are no-name small companies. And I don't think even Malév would actually by it: they will either go bankrupt in the near future or getting rid of their horrible Russian management, and opt for some other aircrafts (more turbofan-planes, Dash 8 for example).Te russian bought Malév only to introduce Superjet in the European market.

  • ItAli Airlines has already ordered ten and ten in option.

Kartika Airlines has also ordered 15.

  • @MokomaSusi yes, they are the no-name airlines.

It is another Russian aircraft for Russians (but the first with nice design)

China, North-Korea, Iran, etc might order some. But not the big European or American airlines

  • Yeah cos dash 8s are turbofans arnt they, dumbass.

  • @tom211t - no, it's turboprop, of course. I bet you've never made any mistake in your life

  • well of course i have everyone does is just that.... your not alowed to.

  • He is cost much less then other planes in his class but his quallity is on the levell. I cant agree with you in this point.

  • Nice plane, i really hope that russian plane industry will reach same quality as western Airbus&Boeing and Embraer. I hope that future we will see also russian planes in western commercial aviation... Very nice to see modern russian plane, not only old soviet stuff.

  • Half of the project isn't it italian?

  • yes it's in collaboration with the Italian Alenia

  • the best looking Russian plane ever!!! so cute!!!

  • Odusevljen sam...Kako da ga odskolujem i gde... Nicifor

    ( I inspirit...How can I ensure type course and where... ) Nicifor

  • The spike in front of the plane is a test thing to know the temp, speed and pressure of the front end of the plane

  • i wish the best for russia ( from sudan )

  • thank's a lot!!

best wishes for sudan adn its people

  • I wish Sukhoi lots of success in this market!

  • noise aint the problem, it can hurt boeing and airbus's business.

  • good plane

  • what Is that long stripy spike on the nose for?

  • Why some stupid loosers post here? If you don't like something you scums go to latvian or whatever forum and talk there.

What production do you have in Latvia? You compared to small countries like Switzeland,Belgium,Netherlands,Czech are NOTHIng. What you produce in latvia? Mushrooms from forest? Or maby some potato exports imfao lol:))) You think you became part of EU and automatically your country will be prosperous? hahaha no shit.

  • one jet is only = $27millions the range of flight without refuelling are 4400km

    the speed is 950km/h

  • Sukhoi Superjet 100 The coolest airplane EVER

  • Dear All,

I have two question on psychology:

    Why do we love flying?

Why do we like commerical air travel?

THANK YOU IN ADVNACE for your creative idea and brainstorm!!!

  • Superjet 100 is a nice competitor in the 100-150 passenger range but 737 is a proven technology that even A318-320 can't compete with. Best of luck!

  • It may be we will know when to be held some time.

  • Actually it's in the 75-95 category. About the A320 family, it's doing fine as far as I know...they have plenty of orders.

  • this new plane looks just like an airbus a318 and a319, , good luck with this new plane coz its goin to have to be sooo much better than the airbus's and boeings, to get the big companies to buy it.

  • Wow that plane is like a jet flies so fast on takeoff and landing. can it go any faster?

  • This is one area where we don't have to rely on the opinions of the uninformed for a conclusion to be reached. If this thing can perform then western airlines will buy it - if it can't they won't - end of story.

  • what are you talking about, man! you should read somes air crash statistics then you will certainly change your mind about russian planes. The Il-86 is seen as one of the world's safest airliners

  • what about TU family? NO ONE IN THE WORLD USING YOUR PERFECT PLANES :) maybe some Moldova.

    Cheers mate!

  • TU - Tupolev

  • Not particularly. There are many other planes working in aviation industry that are not Boeing or Airbus. Russian planes are good but need lots of maintenance and costly but technology has improved . SU Superjet 100 is an example of new generation of Russian planes.

  • its doesn't matter, i don't trust in Russian Aviation. I'm not gonna book my flight for example with Aeroflot. There is too many perftect airlines like BA, Qantas or others, much better planes and service.

    Cheers mate!

  • to your information, qantas is faaaar from being perfect airline. i fly pretty often and avoid using qantas like plague, every time i have to for lack of alternative, there is problem, delays lost lugage poorly serviced planes by the way do u know that qantas services their planes in vietnam? by vietnamese rice farmers.

  • My friend, i fly by Qantas from London to Sydney and i never had a problems! Flight Dalay is normal in Heathrow by Air Traffic Control not by Qantas. Plane was 747-400, Cabin crew is very friendly. Maybe you had some problem in Domestic flights or it was international?

  • You are just another shithead skaterboy with IQ as flat as your skateboard !

  • You suck another Latvian asshole ;)

Was your mum and daddy raped?

  • do me a favor, why don´t you put your messages into a greasy bottle and shove it up your mother´s dry pussy??...yeah, she´ll be proud of you...

  • hrundel44408, latvians just can barking like dogs, do latvians make any airplanes? ofc NO you are dumb like shit.

  • more insult, your nation is dumb its sad but true

  • shut ur face u stupid latvian prick!u dont like dis plane nd vid then fuck off freakin loser

  • hrundel44408, 150 airplanes already bought by europe companies, dumbass noone have asked you, ROFL.

  • Losers in your pants, we will see what companies will buy. But again your fucking nation even can NOT make any airplanes, you are absolutly 0. You can just migrate to London HA-HA-HA TOTALY LOOSERS NOT A NATION

  • I don't care about Latvian aviation, but solution is in Latvia 0 accidents, in Russia 67 fatal accidents with Tupolev (exluding Boeing and airbus) - 95% by pilots mistake. So fuck off.

  • most crashes in general are by pilot mistakes or the pilot being overwhemed in info or in many cases flying for 12 hours straight which is the case with all commerical plane pilots

  • It's simply not economically feasible to build planes in Latvia, it's not a question of CAN or CANNOT - this isn't 1920. This is just another regional jet to challenge Bombardier, Embraer and soon Mitsubishi. It will be tough to market this plane and unless they can sell this one for deep discounts I don't see huge demand.

  • Мы тебя тоже любим :-)

  • hrundel44408,

Russian aviation is great and has always been groundbreaking. The only reason why we don't see Russian planes in the West is because the West feels obligated to buy from Western builders. That's the only reason.

  • Then why most of russian airlines buy western made planes rather than russian made planes? Because western made planes are more fuel efficient than most of old russian planes like Tu-154, thats the main reason why we dont see russian made planes in west because western made planes are more fuel efficient than most of russian planes. But Sukhoi Superjet 100 is different, better than any IL or Tupolev, very good and also fuel efficient, i think in future we will see russian planes in the west.

  • Pvjinflight,

In order to compete with Western carriers Aeroflot needed Western planes. Another factor is that because of the fall of the USSR Russian plane builders couldn't compete anymore. The IL-96 is a great plane that fully complies with Western standards. Most older planes aren't even allowed to land at many Western airports because of fuel inefficiency and noise restrictions. I hope we will see more Russian planes in the West. Maybe the Superjet 100 creates a breakthrough.

  • @ILTUSU airbus isnt much of a western manufacturer lol

  • @SpartanW98

    Airbus aint a Western manufacturer??

    Please explain lol.

  • @ILTUSU they are european.

  • @SpartanW98

That is Western lol!! Western Europe

  • @ILTUSU *sigh* okay you win lol.

  • I have been a pilot for more than 15 years and I had fly russian planes, american, french and brazilian planes. and i tell you the truth when i say it is not the only reason.

there is no way, yet... that a russian plane can met the quality of other planes factory. they are way far from that.

  • @catopilot

Feeling obligated certainly plays a part in it. When it comes to comfort and fuel efficiency Russian planes lack but not when it comes to structural quality. Russian planes are structurally stronger. Especially compared to Boeing.

  • @catopilot

I agree and disagree with you. When it comes to comfort, fuel efficiency and high tech systems i agree but not when it comes to structural strenght.

No plane has a stronger structure than a Russian plane and many blow outs and loosing doors, tails , engines and even wings with US build planes especially made that very clear.

Things we don't see with Russian build planes.

I choose structural strenght over comfort any day.

  • Comment removed

  • @catopilot

Another reason is that many western passenger don't know about airplanes to begine with. They boycot anything Russian made simply because it is Russian wich is strange because it are Boeings and MD planes who have showed us many structural failures. Not Russian planes. And if i have to choose between comfort and structural strenght my choice is very clear in favor of structural strenght. Thankfully US build planes have become stronger.

  • @ILTUSU hmm well the problem is not because of that, but it's financial not good for the company. Tupolev's and illyusin needed many maintenance and that cost money and the save record wasn't good in history, so it wont support, but I believe sukhoi has made a new turn in russian aviation

  • @Airplanespot

In fact Russian planes always needed less maintenance than Western build planes. During the Soviet years planes were build for less maintenance in mind.

But the problem was that shady operators didn't do any maintenance at all.

If these shady operators would have flown Boeings we would have seen

many more crashes. And what makes you think that the safety record of

    Russian build planes isn't good???

  • @ILTUSU there are rumors that Alitalia ordered 20 of this jets !! :)

  • Comment removed

  • @ILTUSU

Yeah,Russia kinda refused to buy further western planes. They were offered by America i think, but Russia just said no,we have hour own aviation ;D I think they were right

  • @ILTUSU hahahahahahaha

    Yeah, that's the only reason.

    hahahahahahaha

  • @ILTUSU

russian planes will always be the best

  • @ILTUSU Good point... and maybe because the writings and instructions are all in Russian. :-) Just Kidding. I do like Russian made planes.

  • @ILTUSU Complete bullshit. The airplane every airline chooses, depends on their strategy. They don't give a crap if it's American or not. And i'm not a capitalist or something. I work at KLM, so I know.

  • @NESZX "And i'm not a capitalist or something. I work at KLM, so I know. "

    KLM? CAPITALIST!

  • @ILTUSU Sir, Airlines all over the world dont give a shit if it is american, european or russian. Chinese airlines buy american aircraft.

  • @ILTUSU the main reason is that until now most of the commercial planes that Russia has built were during soviet times, and in those days "plane flies you" or just crashes a lot

  • @ILTUSU its got nothing to do with that, its just that there is really no Russian competitor to the 777/A330 or A340/747/A380. The superjet only competes with the 737/A320 family.

  • @ILTUSU No because russian manufacturers never really cared about noise level. russian planes have always been pretty loud. Plus the 320 is from 1987, the 737 from the 60ies, during cold war of course no western company would buy any russian planes.

  • @ILTUSU That is/was not the only reason, but i must admit a factor, the older planes however really made a lot off noice back then. But that was then and this is now. so yes you are right also!

  • I don't thin you're aware how many near-fatal accidents Qantas had in the past few months.

  • Qantas never had a fatal accidents. So that means Qantas is most safest airline in the world! I flown with Qantas too many times, never had problems!

  • I would not agree with you - russian technologies are more simple in maintance in general. But it has a down side - they dont meet some hi-tech requirments - for instance - many russian planes were baned in EU when new noise standards were implemented few years ago.

  • a day late and a ruble short ..

  • I saw this plan at Paris air show

It was really nice, I think it can compete the Embraer 190 and the Bombardier CRJ 100

    Really nice aircraft

  • Very nice plane... I think some old russian planes like Tu-154 and others aren´t good, but new planes like that superjet, i think they are as good as west planes...

  • siaisjack

Thanks, I long laughed. You still did not see a helmet of our militarians and groups of special reaction. But in fact business not in beauty, the main thing reliability. NATO have simply a rest (word-play).

  • russians make nice planes but horrible helmets

  • Comment removed

  • great looking plane

  • anthk123

thanx, but plane have this tube only here,on another video without tube

  • Yes Ub471, I've flown on the A330 many, many times. I'd be the last person to say that it is a perfect plane, but then perfection, I believe, is almost (if not totally) impossible to achieve. From the sounds of it, there's something dicey with the ADIRUs (that's what caused that Qantas plane to plunge in October last year). They're probably close to fixing that problem now. It bears a chilling resemblance to what happened a while back to a bunch of B737s - rudder hard-overs.
