Great review, thanks. Is the circumference designed for a large sized hand? Mine are medium so I'm wondering if I will find the MKIII too big. Some MKIII shooters are claiming that they can hit targets at 200 yards without a scope. Is the MKIII that accurate and effective at such a range?

thats a great deal! usually the thinner 22/45 models with polymer frames go for that much...i have both the mark iii bull barrel stainless and the mark iii slab side 22/45 blued...foundation of any good collection and being able to afford to shoot a lot...have fun

Good question Arcaenon, you would be correct. Love this pistol. Accurate and cheap. I was just cleaning one of these very guns and had taken all safety precautions. What you don't expect CAN happen... I'm all alone, not a round in sight, doors locked, phone off, and following every other safety guideline known to man. BANG! I'm just now recovering from the adrenaline shock when my son's birthday balloon popped about five feet away while I am inspecting it after reassembly. Holy Sh....!!!!!

have you installed a volqusteen accurization kit in it ? i did and wouldnt remove it unless puttin it in another ruger i have the long barrel with the slim barrel it cycles twice as fast and 3 pound trigger pull less reciol to boot but they are the best for the orice traded a browning slabside 22 for the ruger browning sites always were off and it was very pickey about ammo the ruger eats anything i feed it and accurate as hell

i have the identical pistol. it's unfortunate ruger's lawyers screwed with it. If you're going to actually use it install a hammer bushing,remove LCI, install exact edge extractors.

yes if it's a bullbarrel it's the target which is 5.5 inches and the hunget is basically the same but longer. u can also tell by adjustable sights. the standard will always be a tapered barrel.

Vermont and Alaska have the best gun laws, which is basically none. You don't need a gun license, there's no waiting period for new guns, Only thing you do need is a backround check and money. (And be over 18) It's like living back in colonial times! And not surprisingly Vermont has very low crime rates.
