But remember he has a weird background in Islam, not the orthodox kind at all, but in his book he described his Indonesiasn Islam as allowing animism & Hindu practices in it (bit time shirk !) and in Chicago he's been around people like his pastor who are ex-Nation of Islam (a deviated sect)

izmirli37, Salifism & Wahhabism are usually used interchangeably, except the Saudis would protest that, since they don't like the word Wahhabism b/c it suggests that it is some new Islam following the man Muhammad Ibn 'Abdul-Wahhab instead of following the "Salaf" (which just means Muhammad & his companions & next 2 generations). About Salifism, I think there are different kinds of it, some more true to Islam, some like takfiri kind, less true to Islam. But I don't like Islam ideology anyway.
