I found the movie Up to be rather entertaining for all ages. It had it's moments that only adults would understand and moments only kids would find funny. I would give up 4 and a Half stars for the enetertaining plotline, and the twists the come along with it.

the movie touches on issues other pixar films really avoid such as character development then death, divorce, not being able to keep promises ect. This film displays how these issues affect both an elderly man who has seen the ugly side of life and the young boyscout who is still learning and having to cope with a father who hasnt the time for his son. modern media has toned the importance of these issues down but this movie exposes their tragic tolls on both the young and old.

My favorite thing about the movie was how it didn't comply with the political correctness of society. It wasn't afraid to portray topics like parents who don't spend time with their kids, failed pregnancies, death, anger, etc. in a natural way. The more adult themes worked really well in this movie and almost made me tear up a little.
