  • gosh... i feel so bad :((

    city of ghosts

  • gosh... i feel so bad :((

  • nice movie and beautiful soundtrack from Silent Hill!

  • How long the radioactive chemicals will long in that area?

  • looks like silent hill, very lonely, silent and scary.

  • 4:67 Scary .....wtf is that?

  • @TheMacSopa A special effect was created. I wait that all remember and make one minute of silence for the victims.

  • @TheMacSopa 4:67 doesnt even excist :)

  • I remember our Government telling us to stay indoors when it rained

  • Fantastic video, the Silent Hill 2 music fits it perfectly,

Hopefully nothing like this will ever happen again, but if the governments dont try to cut back on nuclear energy soon, then i guess unfortunately it could just be a matter of time before another disaster like this happens.

  • sounds like silent hill music.. very suiting

  • Chernobyl, it was, and is Hell on Earth. Why using dangerous nuclear power, if there is more then only that? I hope other gouverments of countries think of that, before it happens once again.

  • @ChristyProductions4U saves money

  • are thos black images burned onto the wall real?

  • ENEMY NUKE INCOMING IT'S OVEEEEEEEER

  • I want to wisit pripjat someday

  • i was like this is not a good video without silent hill music and then..... there it is :)

  • There are regular one-day bus tours from Kiev to Pripyat. Wanna see the Plant -- just go take one of these buses.

  • the poor lady at 0:30

  • fcking awsome video!

  • Such beauty springing forth from such a horrible disaster. An area frozen in time for over 23 years, still under communist Russian rule, completely devoid of all life...beautifly heartbreaking.

I hope to visit ground zero someday.

  • wtf dude?!?!?what communist Russian rule??are u normal?have u gone out from you house in the last 20 years?? xDD

  • have you gone to english class at all in your lifetime? I stated that the area is still untouched, and therefore may as well still be communist territory, you and the rest of the trolls can bite my dick.

  • 21 years later: Pripyat (the city from these photos) is showplace for tourists. There is ever some population. Everyone can visit Nuclear Plant

  • someone who has filmed this must have some dose of radioactive because half-life of uranium is 14000 years and this town was showered with radioactive dust

  • SILENT HILL MUSIC :)

  • Just a little correction. This town is called Prypiat - not Chernobyl. Chernobyl is another city, situated in Ukraine after what the plant was named.

  • 3:09 do you see? the window is normal?

    Maybe someone family is living?

  • hmmm. Not that you mentioned it - look at the graffiti. There was no such culture as graffiti in the soviet union so it can't be done that time.

  • The picture on 0:30 is brilliant. Could I download it somewhere?

  • Yes, see in MORE INFO, of the video. The address is there.

  • Oops... Many thanks.

  • It happaned,it past, and may we pray to God that it never happens again.

  • This video makes me sad especially when you see all those drawn pictures from the artist. Really adds some emotions to the scene.

  • The absolute stupidty of man, to tame forces of the nature that we are not supposed to tame ... This is the result of one of the biggest mistakes we will ever encounter in history. We will never have the resources to decontaminate this piece of earth during the lifetimes of us who lives this century and for many coming generations... Future generations will have to suffer from this. It's horrible to see this, it's been twenty years now, and NOTHING has happened. A land were time stands still.

  • Everything that is a lot complicated. A bequest that the sons of our grandsons will have that learn how to live together.

  • There's nothing stupid in nuclear power in itself. Playing games with nuclear power, however, is insanity.

"This is the result of one of the biggest mistakes we will ever encounter in history."

Let's hope so, though I really doubt it... =/

Something good has come out of this accident, also. Nature is reclaiming this piece of earth. There are even wild horses living there. Life will prevail, even if humans failed.

  • exactly, a stupid man is at fault.. the man in charge, although little known, also had an accident while installing reactors on a submarine. the outcome was the lose of his child to cancer. and to think that they let him command chernobyl that night.

the junior members tried to stop it, but speaking out would have lost them a very nice paying job and could even have them jailed.

some animals are much more resistant to radioactivity than us, which is good they don't have to pay for our mistakes.

  • the mistake was that he shutted down the protection system. thus letting the reactor 4 going through a high tempeture. then chain reaction. and then the steam explosion which tossed up some of the graphite which was HiGhly radioactive..

  • ehh.. it's a lot more complicated then that.

  • Comment removed

  • bom video

  • I think that anyone diserve this

    Is so sad....

I expect that the world change to better or

    we'll destroy all our brothers

  • you have the best clip of Tchernobyl

please make another clip for the victims

i heard every day your clip

    fantastic pieces of memory

  • so sad that it was looted): respct to the bio-robots and the liquidators who sacrificed them selfs for the world

  • bio-robots were liquidators. it was just a nickname cuz they had that bio suit.

  • 3:02 1:58 military vehicles?

  • Looks to me, the city was looted. So were is all the contaminated T.V.s and other things?

  • lol silent hill music

  • 2:20 is fuckin creepy indeed

  • @ Yanlapanic: The pictures of the people on the wall are showing how the town could be filled with kids playing on the streets, and being just normal, but instead it isnt after the accident.

  • The explosion itself killed 30 persons, later: incredibly much, caused by cancer. For now, persons die more easily by cancer, because of what happened in April 1986 at Chernobyl. My uncle was evacuated at the city Pripyat, he died 10 years later by cancer.

  • :( ...

  • why is there people on many wall?

  • from what i think.. those are kids.. who could be doing what it shows on the wall if the accidnt wouldnt never even happen.. but it happened..

  • is the air still all fucked up till today?

  • this is so sad :((((

  • Nice Silent Hill soundtrack.....

  • 2:20 scary.

  • omg its like fallout 3

  • Yes, Fallout 3 is real! :)

  • Beautiful video - I went here in Jan 2009 and I'm still not sure whether I like th e Graf,,, thanks for sharing :)

  • got any film of it?

  • what? u're mad, u'll die maybe 10 years before ur time just for that travel...

  • This is so sad and scary at the same time. I wonder, when would it be possible to live in Chernobyl again? Somebody knows?

  • In a 1000 years it will be possible for inhabiting again.

  • no, in 20 000! :(

  • aprox 20 years.

  • Whats the name of the song from 3:30 all the way till the end?

  • OST Game Silent Hill 2

    Music 06 - Promis (reprise) (1:47)

    Extended version!

  • skiskight, anyone could have this result. It was a chain of events over the course of 3 work shifts, and any one of those links in the chain could have been broken, averting the disaster. This could happen in America, Russia, Germany, the UK, anywhere.

  • in 2:19 you can see the wall and it shows a kid on it its on the watchmen book kids do graffity in wall just like that because they thought new york was gonna have a nuclear war just like chernobyl except xhernobyl wasnt really a war

  • Then the emissions started...

  • yeah man, so beautifull and scary at same time.

  • GO STALKER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yessss!!!

  • I was Six Years old as this happens. I remember that my Mother didnt allow me to play in the Sandbox cause there higher Gamma Radiaton in the Sand.

  • yes these pictures exist in reality and with every year numbers of this painting grow up

  • call of duty 4 too

  • it looks like stalker!

  • Those random pictures that I see in this video, of the faces and people drawings are those all actually there or was it added to this video, They are very interesting. Good video.

  • this vid. is very good. 3.25 is so beautiful song!

  • oh yea and i cant find the video when theres a picture of a wierd looking no legged skeleton up against the wall can any1 help me find that picture?

  • its like a junkyard...all those cars no one there...a very very big junkyard

  • Look at the came CoD4 and you´ll se even better graphical footedge than in S.T.A.L.K.E.R... still it has nothing to do with the accident

  • oh it does. this video shows pictures what chewrnobyl looked like and looks now after the explosion -_-

  • Mostly the town of Pripyat...

  • This is the town of Prypiat.

  • TO THE AUTHOR OF THIS VID. this video was great. 5 stars. but i want to tell you that the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R is about other subject and doesnt really have connection to the true story. the game is based on the old movie of tarkovsky that based his movie on Bratie strugatski's book. the only connection is that the game take place in the zone. no connection to 1986

  • Indeed, STALKER does not have much to do with all the tragedy, was a mistake to mention the game.

  • wow... cool... i would like to go there some day. it has like this erri feeling like no one has been there. atleast that is what i think. the radiation is starting to drop so... i hope some day i get to see it up and close in perion :)

  • @37474748 Radiation is still there :)

  • @TheMaxdata yes :)

  • For people saying you can't go into Chernobyl:

Although neighbouring Pripyat remains unmaintained, Chernobyl has been renovated and is now home to more than 500 residents. Those include nuclear scientists, maintenance officials for the Chernobyl power plant, liquidation officials, doctors, physicists, and most of all, radiation physicists. Visitors to the Zone of Alienation can stay at a local lodge in the Chernobyl suburbs.

  • at 2:44 on the wall is it paintid with paint? that litle boy who sits?

  • Litle 'Hellboy'...

  • I heard some mad french artist came into the city and painted randomm things all over.

  • aha and why did he paint there for???

  • I did say that he was a "mad french artist" maybe its because he was french.

  • thats not the badest nuclear accident the badest wars Majek;Russia

  • It is very terrible accident!

Music very much approaches, graffiti looks great!

  • I wonder who were the ppl that painted those images on the buildings

  • Nice slide show, however very sad to think of all of the people affected by this horrible tragedy.

  • Meu Deus... ;/

  • Very wes

  • meus sentimentos a todos...

  • I love all the graffiti there

  • I just noticed a small typing error. Not nit-picking but the word worse should be worst. It does get the point across that when we think we've got something unedr our control we are sorely mistaken.

  • Apparently a well Known Turkey producer gets his turkey feed from 30 or so miles from the Chernobyl Power plant, it is the cheapest grain in the whole world

  • omg you jerk!! how could you say those stuff???! there in pripyat children were born with 2 heads and 3 legs ! how could you say something like that??> what if you were on them's place!?? just shut up !

  • my pc frooze when i zoomed in on the white image that appered was wierd

  • i want to go til Chernobyl...

  • You cna't. Radiation levels are still really high.

  • WHAT? Yes you can go there. There aint a lot of radiation there. Well you can get a lot but you must be stupid to go in car's graveyard or the forest.

  • it also reached the southern parts of northen america

  • Thats true that vandals would die from radiation or be exposed to some degree but face it people are going in there filming and exploring regardless of radiation, other posts tell of how the place was looted after the people left.

  • Vandals have had a field day there smashing it all up.

  • If "Vandales" Went in there they would die from the radiation

  • retard you know nothing about radiation.

  • xxmattukxx is right. Radiation levels are still really high, you fucktard.

All three types remain there, living in everything. Things still burn with radiation.

If vandals went there, they would die a slow, painful death.

  • the zone is controlled by militars -.-

  • PUTA MIERDA!!!!!!!!!

  • Dude thats Creepy. huhh

  • that's not blood you asshole, that's only rust

  • Oh Yeah Silent Hill Soundtrack...!

  • Now this has to be the single most creepy Chernobyl montage I've ever seen it looks like some wikid artist have sprayed some creepy images on the walls of many buildings

  • quanta tristezza, quanta sofferenza in quella desolazione, in quel vuoto...

  • i just see a white blur there

    ..............

A special effect was created. I wait that all remember and make one minute of silence for the victims.

  • Right click on video at 04:26 and zoom in.
