remember to GO SLOWLY... on everything you do... take tiny incremental steps... never a need to rush... you'll only lose ground in the long run. sounds like you're doing a great job....and you've got a wonderful future full of horses ahead of you :) !!!!
.I trained her myself from this green backwards horse to a good trail buddy in just a few months, so I had to pay more attention to her movement..but I have trouble seeing it..just not feeling it, as much of the time, I had my eyes closed, feeling how she responded to pressure...
I'm 19 and am striving to be a horse trainer, and I was doing really well....until i had an accident with my horse, which may have stemmed from a previous brain issue..she ended up rearing up and inevitably fell over onto the frozen ground.....the concussion was so severe we have her euthinized as soon as the vet got there...this was this past valentines day...if you look in my vids, shes the pretty sorrel..Satin..
I am so sorry.... God bless you for hanging in there yourself... YOU've been traumatized ....have you read the book "Horses and People Matching"? it speaks to trauma like yours.
ok I feel stupid :p....I understand what it means...and I suppose I can feel when I'm on the correct, but when I try to see if someone else is on the correct, I just have a hard time seeing it...oh well
no no...don't feel stupid!!!! sometimes it's really hard to feel it... and a person riding it has to LOOK DOWN INITIALLY to see what the hoof is doing, and then what the shoulder does when the hoof is down, and then what the shoulder does when the hoof is up. it takes practice to FEEL it. also these vids go by fast and the lighting can be difficult, try watching a different vid and see if you can tell :) don't give up :)
I'm pretty good at feeling it, but it takes me a minuet to see it..i never was good at lessons lol..its hard to concentrate on the horse and listen to an instructor that doesn't talk loud enough :p..I don't blame them, and I was young at the time...
Thanks for the encouragement

you are a true horsewoman..... keep reading....keep looking... keep feeling :)
do you have any other horses nearby that you might sit on... sometimes a difference might be helpful to give you a better clue !!
