The gc buttons are very hard to press. Try as hard as you physically can without destroying the gc controller. ive tried gc controller, it will work if the gc controller is fully functional.

Hey um dud does this work on 4.2U wii ?? my wii is from 2006 and i think ti reads backups but so what do i do after the when i ssee the FW in the bottom of my screen i put it a disc wihth an update ?? well i downloaded and AUTOBOOT DISC and burnt it to a DVD+R and i have no modchip it doesnt work but if i burnt it to DVD-R at 2 or 4x will it work? or will i need to get a wii disc with an update to it?

@10Gr1fterbang Yes i am trying to fix my wii its from 2006 with 4.2U and i accidentall installed a bad theme so yeah it bricked i can use SaveMiiFrii with the GC Pad i load the thing i can see my Firmware on the bottom screen its 4.2USA but my question is do i have to get a game with an update and load it through there or i can burna Boot Mii v1 disc and load it like that wihhout a modchip

simply fallow my video all the way through, do everything shown, but have a newer game that has the 4.3u or higher update. you may not be able to hack it again but it will be fixed. there is no boot disc thing needed for this. just after you see the fw at the top, throw in a newer game and it should fix it

@10Gr1fterbang so i dont need BootMiiv1 disc ?? its a backup disc DVD+R i inserted it into the drive and it doesnt read it for some erason i have a 4.2 usa wii my drive is a 50/50 chance ui cant read backups and i geuss not cause i tried to do the BootMiiv1 disc and the Autoboot HBC but didnt work

all i can say is take a look at your barcode on the bottom of your wii, its its LU63 or lower, you can read dvd-r discs and downgrade ect. from there use the instructions in my video and get/rent/buy/barrow a game that has the 4.3u or newer update/. thats all the info i got man

i hate to say this. but if you had priiloader and installed a file just incorrectly, you may be screwed.

first you mod your wii than you find SAFE (converted) themes. Note: themes can brick your wii so get experienced with wii modding.customising before attempting to change your theme. use mymenuify to change your theme

your wii was 3.2e, mine was 3.2u.

it may not work for the different region. but if the wii is bricked anyways, you have nothing to lose. i have converted 3.2e themes to work on a 3.2u wii so that may work. if i were you, id just go for it. good luck friend.

i fixed mine 3.4u with the game cube controll worked perfect used a netflix cd to update it to 4.1u everything work still had homebrew andeverything

what fw are you, and what game are you using? hopefully you have a game that has a newer fw/update than your wiis fw. it will than take 5 minutes or so. but unfortunatly all wiis are different, there is no gaurantee that this will work the same for different wiis.

I am 99.9% sure beyond the shadow of a dout that you can't put priiloader on there if you havn't already. the only thing to do in this situation is to get a gamecube controller, and do that trick i show in this video. otherwise keep looking for vids on that situation..by all means, there is hope.

that sounds like an ios249 (it could be). just make sure you have a newer game and you are pressing down all of the directionals on your gc controller while the wii boots. but all wiis are different unfortunatly.

than you got lucky, good! just remember (and this goes for everyone else too) you all have to put priiloader back on there asap if you downgrade. downgrading whipes out priiloader!!

as shown in my video, you will need to get to that screen an then put in a newer game that goes. BUT, whats different in your case is that you have 4.2u usa, you will need to wait untill a game comes out that has the 4.3u update. (4.3u update may or may not happen, i dont know 4sure). or place a newer game with an update into your wii after seeing that screen.

this video may help you, but is not a 100% success for all wii errors.. i have seen a case where a wii was toggled in a black screen error and i could not retrieve it with this method. luckily i was able to undo what i did as i uninstaled a file that caused my prob. i had a converter thing for the ps1 controller, and no a ps3 controller wont work. you need to use a gc controller, hold all 4 buttons as you turn on the wii and hold them untill you see your fw on the lower right

thats not exactly a brick. but more so just an error. i reffer to that as the "ios249 bug"

i recomend "any title deleter" to fix it. use it and delete ios249

I did what this guy said and put in NSMB Wii and my Wii was no longer bricked

although it did change the Version to a 4.1U

ok when i turn it on with no cd in it makes the noise like im trying to put one in it and nothing comes up at all. the tv makes a white flash for a sec but thats all.

i can reach the Rescue Menu but when i put a game its just spinning and spinning , i waited a hour once , should i wait longer??

no it depends on the game you tried, and wii and the firmware you had when you bricked.

try new mario bros, punch out, silent hill ect.

you may have to wait for a game that has a newer update that you need. but there IS hope because you saw the rescue menu!! what was your wiis firmware?

in that case. i recommend rent silent hill shattered memories. as i have seen that work on a 4.1 with my own eyes. and becuase you have gotten the rescue menu to show up.

remember, get that menu to show up, than pop in silent hill shattered memories.

Hey I have another question. If I update my wii the first time and then try to download the homebrew channel will my wii brick? And if it doesn't brick will it still download the channel?

it should not brick.

and if you are 4.2 fw or lower, it should download the channel. (granted that you can get past the "no vulnerable ios found") <-- i have a vid on that

but this depends on what fw your wii is and what modding step you're on

gamecube controllers work the same as displayed in this video. (i have also tried a gamecube controller).

clamp 4 directionals with clamp that will make (so you dont have to take apart your wii), than put in 4th player slot turn on wii. hold down buttons hard enough

i have seem more than 3 different bricks, the one in this video, black screen, menu freeze. ALL of what i ran into was curable. on 3.2u and 4.1u. (wii in this video is a 3.2u)

but depending on your firmware. is it 4.2u or higher? that may be why.

but no matter what, keep the wii and keep trying to clamp the buttons down, and do it HARD. or you may have to take the gc controller apart and press and hold all 4 bottons as you turn the wii on

I Don't have Priiloader installed, I don't get the "system files are corrupted" message and when I try using the D-pad fix, get nothing. am I screwed?

you have to break the controller open to press all of the buttons under the d-pad
