I liked the recording and the pictures of the old post cards you used. I also have a collection of old postcards. My favorite ones in my collection are the ones with artwork by Alphonse Mucha.
G, I did the same except that I like champagne and my book was Brian Rust's "The Dance Bands" so I woke up with the light still on, the book on my face and a slight headache. Thanks for sharing these brilliant records and best wishes for 2009.
I understand more than you might think. I have to confess that when the TV played Auld Lang Syne I actually cried for those I lost in 2008--and I'm not talking about $. We must plan that April rendez-vous soon!
In my next life, I'd like to be that smoldering dame at 1:10. Guess I'll have to settle for breathing in the steam from her little green cup, whatever its source might be.
Grzegorz, I hope that you get to drink some champage and that you laugh and have fun. This is a delightful presentation! Thanks and Happy New Year!!!!!
Thank you so much for putting up these fabulous tunes, that are virtually unavailable, unless you're an audio nut, which I'm not. But I do love the music! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you. And thank you bringing such wonderful music and art to my desk. I don't have the time to comment on all of it but, be assured , that your hard work is very much appreciated. Ed
I'm 13 years old and I like old music 20s-70s too.

Grzegorz, I've been trying to recall another tune that sounds like this and, of course, it's the early jazz standard "JADA".
I bought a s/h copy of "Memoirs of Hadrian" and after three nights I'm still on page 3!
Is yours in the original French? That would get me asleep even faster.

Doesn't sound a think like :Jada: to my ear.

I'll try both parts of your remedy for insomnia when I finish reading Brian Rust - I didn't get very far either!
