I broke out the virtual boy last night and played this game for a while. It's one of the best pinball games IMO. I like the bonus games especially the one where you have to shot the comets down.
am I the only one that this is sopposed to be a metroid game?Thumbs up if u think it is a metroid game because it said something about it in the metroid prime pinball discription on the metroid database
damn, this system had so many great elements to it. It's too bad the starting line up was so half assed. There were only about 5 or 6 good games that ever came out for this system. Though I'm sure the price point, headaches and monochromatics are what killed it. (not to mention it just looked weird ad fuck)
I was going through my storage shed when I came across my old Virtual Boy. Figured I'd take it back to the house and give it a go for old times sake. Immagine my surprise when I found Galactic Pinball still in it's original packaging. Dunno what I should really do with it XD.
Wait a minute guys! Weirdal27 is right, the demo here is not exactly the same as the real game, although pretty close.
This game is a good demo of it nonetheless. You can see from this game why they called it "Virtual." It doesn't have to do with the graphics exactly, but with the sound. The speakers help make it very much alive.
After playing wario land on the VB for a year its now this cool pinball game tha on my nr 1 list out of all vb games and in less then 2 weeks ikm getting this game :D
If nintendo had spent a little more money on a green display, or white, it would have been far easier to look at. Your eyes can see green VERY well and sharply...BUT the green LEDS at the time were maybe too expensive?!
Yeah, they were just too expensive to use. Apparently the price of the machine would have gone up to almost half a grand or something if they had used anything but red.
I actually think that something like Virtual Boy could be a success today if they market it right; the technology for proper 3D graphics has come a long way in 12 years, so mebbe they could apply it w/o going overboard in expenses. After all, people use full color 3D setups in training w/o eye problems, and something similar could be made cheaply. Hell, it'd be badass if they did something like this as an accessory for the Wii or PS3.
Dude, the Virtual Boy is the most underrated gaming machine ever made. I recently found a semi-complete one with Mario Tennis at Goodwill for $5, and it's really fun!
haha talking about R-Zone, theres no comparison between Virtual Boy and R-Zone. Virtual Boys was way better. I know you were prolly just joking around but had to bring up out shity Tigers handheld was...
I would hope he was, I remember R-Zone, it was basically Tiger handheld games but in red and inside a little visor thing... this was a full fledged video game console :P
Just got this today! Virtual Boy fo Life bitches!

I'd sell it for a load of money, then buy a used copy of Galactic Pinball and play it.

gurumed 4 years ago 2
I agree but this game doesn't use the chip capacity. It sounds like a NES game, really man.

Then you should put this at the end of the url:
/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw
It is a video of a guy who makes some kind of virtual reality using the wiimote, sensor bar, and some software.
freefang 4 years ago
You mean shutter glasses? Work on most anything, but to do it right =any= 3D stuff has to be coded that way, rather than just shifting pixels

Very strange, but the thing I don't like about the VB is the colors... or shall I say, color?
LoticaStudios 4 years ago
Yeah it's a bit hard on the eyes. Red is the color we percieve depth best with, or something like that, I read back around when VB came out...
