  • Just got this today! Virtual Boy fo Life bitches!

  • I broke out the virtual boy last night and played this game for a while. It's one of the best pinball games IMO. I like the bonus games especially the one where you have to shot the comets down.

  • am I the only one that this is sopposed to be a metroid game?Thumbs up if u think it is a metroid game because it said something about it in the metroid prime pinball discription on the metroid database

  • i realy like this game best pinball game in my opinion

  • damn, this system had so many great elements to it. It's too bad the starting line up was so half assed. There were only about 5 or 6 good games that ever came out for this system. Though I'm sure the price point, headaches and monochromatics are what killed it. (not to mention it just looked weird ad fuck)

  • I was going through my storage shed when I came across my old Virtual Boy. Figured I'd take it back to the house and give it a go for old times sake. Immagine my surprise when I found Galactic Pinball still in it's original packaging. Dunno what I should really do with it XD.

  • I'd sell it for a load of money, then buy a used copy of Galactic Pinball and play it.

  • I loved this game so much.. Screw what everyone says, i love the virtual boy

  • @g68unit represent

  • really cool.......

  • That was cool to bad those levels wherent in the real game.

  • it would kill if someone played the virtual boy while wearing 3d glasses. PLEASURE OVERLOAD!!!

  • Oh gooddd, I miss this game so much now =(

  • the flapper animation seems weak to me

  • Wait a minute guys! Weirdal27 is right, the demo here is not exactly the same as the real game, although pretty close.

This game is a good demo of it nonetheless. You can see from this game why they called it "Virtual." It doesn't have to do with the graphics exactly, but with the sound. The speakers help make it very much alive.

  • Dude, if you played this system for a little bit, I bet it would be awesome! Just not too long, or your retinas will suffer a FALCON PUNCH!!

  • ^ You heard it here first folks

  • THIS GAME WAS THE SHIT FOR VIRTUAL BOY!! even though the virtual boy idea sucked, but the game was tight, so were other FEW games

  • while somebody was using this thing, i would just want to comeup behind them and give them a wedgie. no one would know youre approaching!!!!!

  • OMFG THAT sound my ears are bleeding!

  • hey now, you can complain about the graphics but don't complain about the sound, the virtual boy soundchip was awesome

  • I agree but this game doesn't use the chip capacity. It sounds like a NES game, really man.

  • Great game

  • Old games always had creepy music at points.

  • cool

  • After playing wario land on the VB for a year its now this cool pinball game tha on my nr 1 list out of all vb games and in less then 2 weeks ikm getting this game :D

  • I hd a friend that had one of these things. It had a disclaimer that recomended not to play the games for more than 15 minutes at a time.

  • sounds like 16 channel 8-bit sound processor, sega style to me

  • come some one replay back. Is it true that after playing a long time, you can risk the chances of going blind

  • Ok were did the physics laws emulation gone?

  • a virtual flop :D

  • If nintendo had spent a little more money on a green display, or white, it would have been far easier to look at. Your eyes can see green VERY well and sharply...BUT the green LEDS at the time were maybe too expensive?!

  • Yeah, they were just too expensive to use. Apparently the price of the machine would have gone up to almost half a grand or something if they had used anything but red.

  • I actually think that something like Virtual Boy could be a success today if they market it right; the technology for proper 3D graphics has come a long way in 12 years, so mebbe they could apply it w/o going overboard in expenses. After all, people use full color 3D setups in training w/o eye problems, and something similar could be made cheaply. Hell, it'd be badass if they did something like this as an accessory for the Wii or PS3.

  • Then you should put this at the end of the url:

    /watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw

It is a video of a guy who makes some kind of virtual reality using the wiimote, sensor bar, and some software.

  • You mean shutter glasses? Work on most anything, but to do it right =any= 3D stuff has to be coded that way, rather than just shifting pixels

  • @abridgedfanboy YOU WERENT TOO FAR OFF REPORTER FROM THE PAST

  • @abridgedfanboy You are awesome, my friend. The 3ds is on its way thanks to you.

  • @abridgedfanboy So visionnary, 3 years ago. Now there is the Sony HMD as an accessory of the PS3 and the 3DS as a standalone Nintendo 3D console.

  • @abridgedfanboy Like others have said, you called it, now we have 3DS. I really want to see this on 3DS's Virtual Console.

  • Ouch! Brain freeze!

  • I get a headache just watching this.

  • Was the Virtual Boy made after the first Game Boy or before?

  • Gamer's would rather be dead than go red.

  • its actually fun

  • No we wouldn't.

  • Dude, the Virtual Boy is the most underrated gaming machine ever made. I recently found a semi-complete one with Mario Tennis at Goodwill for $5, and it's really fun!

  • Very strange, but the thing I don't like about the VB is the colors... or shall I say, color?

  • Yeah it's a bit hard on the eyes. Red is the color we percieve depth best with, or something like that, I read back around when VB came out...

  • R.I.P Virtual boy, you are gone but not forgotten

  • I still have and play Galactic Pinball. I must say I am JEALOUS of the stages on this demo! I want!!!

  • I agree, weird they put some stuff in the demo, but not in the real game

  • strangely I really love the music chip on this thing!!

  • There is also a Metroid-based pinball board in Galactic Pinball/Space Pinball.

  • haha talking about R-Zone, theres no comparison between Virtual Boy and R-Zone. Virtual Boys was way better. I know you were prolly just joking around but had to bring up out shity Tigers handheld was...

  • I would hope he was, I remember R-Zone, it was basically Tiger handheld games but in red and inside a little visor thing... this was a full fledged video game console :P

  • I've never owned a v-Boy.. but I played one at a Sears once. Nie video.

  • the virtual boy pffft aint no tiger R-Zone now that was realistic gameplay haha

  • Ah my eyes!

  • A LOT of stuff from this video didn't make it into the final game. I don't remember that "wahoo!" sound effect or the stage that comes in around 1:30

  • hey do you remember a game for nes called virtual pinball?

  • Very nice! I like this pinball game. Thanks for the introduction.
