  • i love that 7 hole ocarina it just looks amazing and it sounds good too i wish i knew how to make something like that

  • i love your ocarinas they sound so good i have been making some with my friend with air dry clay because i cant get to a kiln yet me and my friend are going to be able to make some ceramic ones soon but i dont know if i will ever be as good as you i cant even make ocarinas very well!!! you have a lot of talent

  • awesome

  • I love your attitude Schwessie! I have watched several of your videos now, and have enjoyed every one of them. I love the ocarina and the flugelhorn. Your ocarinas sound very good.

  • i love the second one. Something about the lower sounding ones i like, it adds that warm feeling to it. =P

  • yay zelda at the end!

  • hey that was a really great ocarina u made love the sound awesome job

  • @level221

Thanks... I`n now working on another double ocarina. I`m still trying new things... there are so many possibilities with ocarinas. That`s keeps it interesting.

  • I really like the idea you had with the 7 hole. A pendant style with the high 4th! Genius! Perhaps a 9 hole could be made... Add two extra holes for the unused fingers on the right hand to bring it down to a low 6th... Essentially we could have a pendant style ocarina with the same range as a 12 hole.... A 9-hole ocarina with the same range as a 12 hole XD Wrap your head around that!

I honestly might try that... I hope you don't mind that I'm using your design..

  • No.. go ahead and keep me posted how you are doIng. I just made an ocarina that has multiple animals represented in that one ocarina. Really nice. When that one is fired and glazed I`ll probably make another video... Are you also planning to make videos of your ocarinas? That`s always interesting!

  • I just got back with my clay and my new tools, so I can finally try some ocarina building.

I will probably post some videos if they turn out any good XD

Ima subscribe to you, Ill be sure to keep you updated on my progress.

P.S. It would be really great if you made a guide video XD Your the best home ocarina maker I've ever seen.

  • I am so impressed and inspired. Thank you for sharing your work and it's interesting to be able to watch you progress, too.

  • Ahh, you found me! Very nice. The ones on here aren`t all that good, because I was just starting then, but it is nice to see the progress. That`s also why I originally started with the flugelhorn videos.

  • actually i really like the horn one =) but how did you make the horn shape?

  • Hi there, I first made the shape... then I cut it in half... removed the inside clay... made the holes, voicing and airchannel. And eventually I put it back together and firmly attached everything. That`s the short version, ofcourse, haha.

  • ah thank you but you basiclly mold it in your hands right...

  • Yes, it`s all handmade.

  • I do the same thing with some of my ocarinas. The rest are egg-shaped molds.

  • Yes, Maybe I`ll make a mold of a shape that I like soon. That might save some time...

  • Besides saving time, it'll also allow you to make the walls of your ocarinas a little thinner, therefore reducing the amount of clay you're using for each ocarina, and to slightly lessen the drying time. I try to make the walls less than 1/8 inch thick. Makes the ocarina lighter in weight :)

  • Wow so much skill! You are great at making them. Visually and harmonic =D

  • i just have to say that you are awsome, and i am inspired to make my own!! thanx!

  • really pretty

  • Wow! Klinken super goed!

  • Wow, they both look AND sound beautiful! Awesome job and thanks so much for sharing :)

  • Yay! They are beautiful Schwessie! Good job. I think moving the thumb holes away from the voicehole ... worked! COOL!

  • nice, good job =] u gonna start making and selling them?

  • Yes, I will, on E-bay. but before I do I want them to be really good. Until now I have been practicing to get a great overall sound and get familiar with glazing... but I think I`m getting close.
