  • This is old, I found a new unlock method that really works , i unlocked my iphone using

    unlock-iphone org , very easy

  • emphasis on "damn mms" lol 1:58

  • Tethering offered a LITTLE BIT LATER?!?! The iPhone 4G is already gunna come out in a couple months and AT&T still does not have damn tethering for iPhone. Why did at&t have to make exclusive contract with apple. IPHONE ON VERIZON PLEASE!!!

  • Listen people when your not eligible your not eligible, AT&T like any buisness is one to make money, Any time you upgrade early that company is taking a HUGE loss with possible no return until 6 months later with discounting your *whiner* price of a phone. Go ahead cancel away like that other company really wants to PAY you to usse their service.

  • verizon lies they say the have full 3g signal at my house but they don't have any signal at my house unlike att

  • AT&T's commercial is all hype and lies. It never have reliable services and they also they don't have much coverage unlike Verizon does. AT&T doesn't have as much choices of phones like Verizon does.

  • Two year contracts for upgrade eligibility. Two years! Why aren't people getting this fact? You signed the documentation, but there's so many of you that want special handouts. Or, a lot of you don't know how to read.

  • i think there also othe rissues like paying in time, no suspension of service, also the more features u add on ur plan ,even if ur not eligible they might see all what uve done and upgrade u

  • I'm surprised at all the 3G customers who are whining, but I suppose I shouldn't be. I paid $399 for the 2G and didn't complain when they offered it to the masses at $199. I could have upgraded then at that price, but the difference is, I subsidized the phone with the higher initial purchase price. You 3G people who are attempting to ignore your contract either needed to pay $399 for the 3G or 399 for the 3GS.

  • This man does alot of head tilting and making his eyes big.

  • wasn't eligible for early upgrade pricing of $199 cuz of lower monthly.called Att to cancel service.Rep reset my eligibility & asked me to go to apple store.Apple turned me down as their system showed I have to $399 & not $199. wasted bout 3 hrs.called at&t twice.Mgr apologized & said all she did was apoligize that their call center people weren't sure of the policy & there's nothin she could do & said i'm more than welcome to leave ATT.

shitty customer service.Ruined my entire day

  • helpfull, but man this guy has some crazy eyes

  • Just like many others I bought my iPhone 3G in week 1, and I am not eligible for an upgrade till Dec. Why aren't people like me eligible for an upgrade under this revision? I don't know who is, and would like ATT to consider another revision that actually benefits iPhone 3G owners UNLIKE THIS ONE! If you are listening like you claim to be, go back and review your revision terms. Then ask yourself: who does this benefit? The answer is no one that owns an iPhone 3G!

  • Happy and disappointed at the same time. When is "late summer" exactly?

  • Please eligibility is BS your still screwing your following who don't have at least a year in the previous iphone. Considering at/ts service hardly ever supports 3g I find that a royal slap in the face. Should be willing to take "any & all" customers willing to remain on your network for a longer period of time. Thanks for nothing

  • I'm a 3G customer and got it the first weekend it came out. Purchased two lines and two more afterwards. Just checked with ATT Customer care and also went to the store and guess what!!! I'M not eligible until 18 months from the activation date. Lets do the math on this, I got it on 7-12 or 14 which the basically the launch of 3G til November of 2009. If Im not eligible, who is????? ATT, please look into it, something is wrong here.

  • Seems as though I'm still not upgrade eligible. Even though I've had an iphone since day one. Asshole T&T

  • can att please extend the upgrade policy till january?

  • What is the regular pricing without upgrades or new contracts because I bought my iPhone 3g last year and know I am not upgrade eligible.

  • I have a 1st Gen iPhone I got Christmas of 2007, would I be eligible for an upgrade so I only have to pay the 199.99 price?

  • Yes u are u can get it for $199 16gb $299 3gb

  • hey is there any way i can text through the data plan i don't want to pay a lot every month.

  • Tethering should be free!!!

  • It is for now if you enable it through the hack (without jailbreaking)

  • i'm in australia and i can already mms with 3.0.

  • I Have An Lg Vu And My Upgrade Is Ready On August. Can I Get The iPhone 3gs For The Upgrade Price???

  • AT&T should offer a upgrade to every one who bought an iphone after march 17.

  • listen to this people i bought my iphone 3g the first day it came out n i have 4 lines on my family plan then i spend about $225 dollars monthly how come that other people is eligible but me if i got my iphone since day 1 .. is it that im not paying enough money to be eligible pls what a stab on our backs since i always make my payments on time n i been with att for so many years ..

  • Seth, your awesome. Loved the "Tilty Head Guy" comment at the end.

  • YAY! i Don't have to pay $752.00!!!! I'm now upgrade eligible!

  • you suck. I'm glad Apple ripped you a new one at WWDC. OVernight delivery by the 19th my ass. Pop quiz hot shot...how come order won't arrive until the 22nd? I ordered the 9th. Talk about customer service... You and your idiot CSRs and you're non updating Premier status. Break your neck.

  • Why hasn't your upgrade eligibility pricing changed yet? It was supposed to change overnight right?

  • the upgrade eligibility pricing actually changed, soo if u actually own an iphone 3G and u r eligible for an upgrade in july, august and september u can buy the 3GS for the regular price which is $199-$299 instead of $399-$499.

  • I already have my 32G 3G S up an running. I paid $499 to Apple online and it arrived this morning by UPS. I was never able to check my upgrade eligibility before activating the new phone. Now its impossible to do as I get a 11/20/2010 date in response to *639#. I bought my 3G on the first day they went on sale last July. Anybody have a similar circumstance? Am I going to get a $200 refund from Apple?

  • "quit telling me you are listening and turn on my damn mms" LMAOOOOOO

  • From the UK: I can understand you guys being annoyed at the delays in stuff like mms & tethering. In the UK o2 is making these services available immediately but at a cost, mms's cost us 4 x txt messages and tethering is around $25 a month at todays exchange rate!

I don't know why apple bowed to pressure, I agree with their original policy, why send a picture over the cellular network via mms, when you can email a full size picture straight from the phone or upload to facebook for free!?!?!

  • stop complaining people. give att credit for making an effort. i'm not happy about the lack of mms, but its not like its not coming at all. i appreciate the effort att made in trying to clarify things even though it was a little late. i'm one the ppl who bought the iphone 3g last july and it says i won't be eligible for an upgrade until march 2010. i'll be honest with you, i was bummed but not surprised. wireless companies have been offering upgrades every 2 years for at least the last 5 years.

  • A customer has every right to complain. It is the customers job to pay his/her bill every month... the rest is on AT&T. If AT&T wasn't pulling rate hikes and shady business practices, then people wouldn't complain.

  • hah! this was cool. I like AT&T a little bit more.

  • Gr8 info!

    Wackao!

  • LOL at 2:00 he say's Damn like its nothing! That was hilarious to me imo.

  • why is his head crooked?

  • Thank you for the update!

  • What about customers who bought the iPhone 3G at launch? We are SOL for upgrade pricing?

  • i like how apple hyped up all the updates like mms and tethering. BUT I THINK THEY FORGOT IT WILL BE COMING OUT LATER!!! thanks apple for fooling me

  • HA on the head tilt thing. OK - you're exhonorated now.

  • haha big eyed tilted head guy

  • Needs more head tilt. oh yea and let me buy the new iphone for 199/299!!

  • That is a simple and easy to understand plan that most importantly "REWARDS" loyal iPhone customers and makes them feel appreciated.

  • As a loyal Apple customer and AT&T customer I am outraged that I am not automatically eligible for the "Best Upgrade Price" of $299.00 for the 32gb iPhone 3GS! You clearly do not understand the real and long-term value of "Customer Loyalty". This make me, (who is not eligible for an upgrade until 3/27/10) and many like me, say to our selves... as soon as the iPhone is available on ANY OTHER NETWORK we are gone, early cancellation fee and all!

  • Good one. Too bad your gripe is falling on completely deaf ears. :(

  • So yeah I called and they claimed to not know WHAT they are talking about

  • ATT get you act together ..I talked to 2 different customer representatives one online(chat) and the other on the phone and I was given 2 different answers about my Iphone preorder ...

  • Quit telling me you are listening and turn on my damn MMS.

Look we already knew it was coming late summer......don't you understand we want it now! Other countries are getting the full capabilities of an American product now...why can't Americans?

  • why are they releasing 3.0 saying now theres mms when mms wont be here till god knows when!

  • Because the iPhone is available in MANY countries, and on MANY carriers. The overwhelming majority of which are going to have MMS available immediately with the 3.0 software.

  • Sounds good but a whole lotta nothing. Still doesn't make eligible people that bought the 3g at launch.

  • My upgrade date was December 09 but now its March 2010? WHAT?

  • This is just marketing for AT&T. The only people who get the iPhone at a reduced cost are the people eligible for upgrade in July, August, and September. I bought my iPhone in July of last year and am not eligible to upgrade until December of 2009. I pay over $100 a month for my stunningly awesome AT&T service and have been an customer since the Cingular days. No love for me.

  • that 1st twitter comment cracked me up!!!

tethering should be free since duh its on a unlimited data plan!

and yes you be forever known as tilted guy!,

  • Hi, now please correct me if I'm wrong. I bought an iPhone 3G last August and I spend 115 dollars every month. How much will I pay for my 3GS if I choose too buy a 16gb model. Thanks

  • Blech, sounds like my math class.

  • $199

  • Good vid, lots of info, thanks!!!

  • wow so i still want to wait till december to upgrade or just pay 499 for the 32 same bullshit

  • Is it just me or is AT&T falling behind as Apple tries to push this product further...

  • I have been on the phone with ATT, for an hour, and they claim to have not received this memo... what's going on?

And 2nd question...I have original iPhone that states full upgrade eligibility this July. Will my upgrade eligibility status change tomorrow as well?

  • the tilted guy said starting this friday those who are upgrade eligible on July August or September of this year will be able to get the 3gs for 199 for a 16GB and $299 for a 32G

  • Its excellent news that they are extending upgrade eligibility to more 3G owners.

However, I don't understand why they charge extra for tethering, when I can currently do that with my Sony Ericsson flip phone at no additional charge....

  • Seth!!! Buddy!!! Turn your head.

  • Seth is Awesome! I have a question, I pre-ordered on the 12th at a Local ATT store. I am getting tracking information when I check the status of my order. Is this being shipped to my local ATT store, or my home? Thanks very much! Keep up the good work ATT.

  • So does this mean that we get the $199 and $299 this week instead of July and August? Please reply!

  • I purchased the 3G on the release date, yet I'm not eligible for upgrade until December. I don't see how the change in upgrade dates will affect original buyers of the 3G.

  • Chances are you are not the primary line on your account. I bought our 2 on 12-27-08. I'm eligible for upgrade 12-27-09 but the other is not eligible til August of 2010.

  • pipcorona, I'm in the same boat, with the December upgrade. I'm hoping for an update that addresses the original buyers.

  • Yeah thats what I was asking the ATT rep and hes like I dont know. I told him it made no sense and he agreed. I guess some get to upgrade every 12 months and some get to upgrade ever 18 months? so the ones that its 18 months for we are screwed?

  • Wow—AT&T really IS listening and paying attention! Who knew! And kudos on the video response—classy move!

  • Gotta hand it to them for sure. I'm an original 2g owner, so I wasn't pissed, but I really felt for all my 3G brethren. Good on AT&T for listening, considering and making changes where possible. And NO CHARGE for MMS! W00T!

  • He addressed the people who ordered through AT&T online, but didn't quite address those who specifically ordered through AT&T Premier (me). While some people are getting emails with confirmation numbers all of us are still waiting on our orders to finish processing.

  • you said 3.0 software, its called firmware you tool. this isnt microsoft based, you should get a kick right square in the nuts for that.

  • What about those of us who already paid $499 to upgrade? A little late for this.

  • Goldfingiz - If you're one of the customers who benefits from this change in upgrade eligibility and you already preordered from an AT&T store, we'll adjust the price of the device when you pick it up. If you benefit from the change and you preordered from AT&T online, we'll send you an e-mail and issue you a credit. Check out the AT&T Facebook page (link in the description) for more information.

  • WOW! Great answer!! I'm seriously impressed. I wasn't expecting this from a "faceless" corporation ya know.

  • Thanks for clarifying!

  • I was one who waited all night release day for iphone 3g- never late with a payment, been an AT&T / Cingular customer iver 10 years- I am told pay $399 for 16 GB or wait ontil next March- my bill is $135 monthly includes second line for my wife - why in the hell do I not qualify for discount upgrade price?

    Please answer

  • The same thing happened to me. We signed a two-year contract though so I guess we have to follow it. My father is satisfied with his first-generation iPhone and let me use his upgrade. So now he has to keep his for at least a year and a half.

  • Edgar, I too got my 3g iphone during the launch in 7/08 and also was told that I'm not eligible until Nov or december of 09. My bills are 240 per month and according to ATT, the more you spend the faster you become eligible. If the first 3G customers are not eligible, than who is???? Is the release of this video made just for Public Relations ???

  • Saaaa-weeeeet.

  • Lmao at 1:55 the question lol but i like how att is actually reading even q's like that and actually answering them. Good Job ATT!

  • Great; Yes customers we know we could have had all this ready to go by the time iPhone 3G S was to launch but we got lazy. Yes customers we are now doing this late and we dont have a hard date for the tethering but its coming.

    Much like there service UNRELIABLE....

  • Good for AT& T listening to the customers.

  • Good for AT&T!

  • Jon, you are briliant
