depends on how much of the actual road your car touches if its all snow then no but if your in drift and you find a patch with no snow your tires will be eaten alive

@914j SO TRUE! When I got my first Subaru AWD, I spent a lot of time in parking lots trying to get the hang of it. Sometimes while sliding I smelled the tires through the vents while skidding. I thought, "I've got AWD splitting the power four ways, it'll be fine". WRONG! With only 130 HP I went through four tires in 9,000 miles. Being a little more careful, the next set went 22,000 miles.

335xi? xi? What's with the x? Does this mean it is 4 wheel drive. Well, it must be to do so well in the snow. We have a 330d in England and it was appalling in the snow but huge fun and massive drifts. Shows up the feeble front wheel drive, boring Audi's. In England, the 335xi does not exist and this is the first time i have ever heard of it. Great video by the way and DTC spoils all the fun! Did you restrict around 6:00 or turn it off all together? Lovely car...

It's also the fact that BMW has one of the most advanced 4WD systems out there next to SH-AWD. Most truck 4x4 systems are crappy real-time AWD that just does a 50/50 split and nothing else.

I have a bmw 540i now. and the s5 has even more leg room than the 5. I just check them out. S5 much better int. more room. better quality .the s5 size compared to a 6 series bmw which only two wheel drive.

I wish this had a more room in the back. The front seat hits the back. no leg room if you need it. I have a kid so, other wise I like this car alot. The s5 actually has good leg room in back and is amazing and looks great. This is my favorite color for this car.

x-drive can cut off power to front wheels;

and there is no need to replace all 4 tires (can do fronts or rears) and don't worry about blowing up viscus diff.
