  • what happened to the old clip? why's it removed?

  • The attacks were getting vicious and derogatory. I might remove this one shortly too if people continue to attack her repeatedly.

  • Interesting~ when do those tickets expire??

  • some are good for a year. others expire in may/june... so actually not useful for many of the visitors unless they decide to make use of the coupons immediately upon 'release' from metropark

  • octopus = $10

  • This man compared with the mainland china visitors are educated, shows appreciation to the HongKong governement arrangement. The mainland chinese visitors with bad words, bad attitute, they are awful, woo.

  • The English foreign visitors are a bit civilized, at least compared to the mainland china couple. The chinese woman put the film on youtube shows all the bad words, bad comment, no appreciation, and dont know any manner at all. Some of the viewers may have seen that awful mainland chinese woman, the film was deleted after a lot of viewers complained her poor attitute and bad words and bad manner. Chinese should learn some manner before they walk out of country door.

  • I captured some very angry American women with the hotel staff. But they caught me filming and said they will 'sue' me if the film is made public.

I hope people realize that people from ANY country can respond in very irrational ways in situations like this. Please don't keep making assumptions about mainlanders.

  • well the removed clip clearly showed her non-appreciation and disdain, but then of course it's definitely wrong to assume she's from the mainland where civility is of the highest world standards

  • She is definitely from mainland china. You can check othe film she quarrelled with the HK government medical people. She pissed off everybody, you can check other films, she is on it.

  • so many things haha

  • Its not like HK did anything wrong, it did what it have to.

noone knows what will happen if the hotel wasnt lockeddown, chances are that the flu may break out just like that.

Just because the flu stoped spreading now dosnt mean that ther flu will stop sperading even if the hotel wernt lockeddown.

These gifts are just to make them feel better about the stay, but not to redeem anything.

It'd be totally reasonable for the gove to not give out these packages, or or anyother unessary services.

  • What do you want? :)

    please suggest

  • I am from HK

I feel ashamed when seeing our gov treating them in this way.

    I sucks

Indeed, our gov do nothing gd in governing HK

Those offficials are nuts ,jerks na fools

    Shame on these pk(bxtch)

  • Zombie0144 :

Get the facts right due, although i had been critisizing them all the time, but this time they did the right thing! here me saying, the RIGHT thing.

there is nothing to be ashamed here and if you or any other people think so it only shows that u are narrow minded and don't things as a whole.

no one knows that kind of flu it is n what if the virus change or combines with H5N1?

if something happen who takes the responsibility? is it him, me or you?

  • I am from HK, and ashamed by this act too

  • the Hk gov cant do a proper thing, bureaucratic. Hope when you come to HK next time, a new gov there will be

  • y are pple bitching and saying the gifts are crap, for fuk sakes, they are travelers, and I think the government just gave like tickets to almost every thing in HK....and you want the government to give out money or some shit? please leave comments with some common sense

  • hahaha the dog and the crab thing is hilarious... other stuff are just souvenirs that most likely the hk government just jacked off souvenir shops at different attractions lol... the admission tickets... well they have value but it can only count as lost revenue and there's no "loss" per se... for those parks and movie theatres as it's fix cost for them to operate... only the admissions and octopus card are nice, other stuff are pretty pointless lol

  • I hope you don't have any hard feelings about Hong Kong. The citizens of Hong Kong really appreciates your effort of staying in quarantine. The government of Hong Kong also knows your frustration with this. I hope you guys enjoy this $4000 gift, and take a great tour at Ocean Park, DisneyLand, the peak and etc. Hopefully, by the end of your tours, you will have a better memory and experience at Hong Kong.

  • agree, i hope ppl who are affected feel better about it. I feel sorry for the whole thing as a HK citizen. the gov try to protect us, which unfortunately affected you. Im very sorry...

  • HK government so Cheeeeeeeap!!!

  • wat do you think they should give? that's citizen money... quarantine is wat every country would do when life threatening things happened

  • LOLz u don't get da point! Im not talking the value. Im talking don't say ITS WORTH $4000. ITS FAKE!

  • the ticket of disneyland and ocean park is already own for more than $400

  • Is actully pretty good,, all the ticket worth quite alot!!

  • It worth $HKD4000 !!!????

I think all of them only worth HKD$200.00

Something like memo pad i will throw it to rubbish bin

  • This is a once in a lifetime experience, take full advantage of it. I don't think the Hong Kong government will quarantine another hotel again. Keep ALL things related and auction them in the future.

  • The tickets and coupons are simply useless. It would be much better if the gov offer u guys some nice meals (like roasted goose, egg tarts, fishballs etc.) as I know that the food from the local restaurants is quite awful and dirty.

  • Hey Dude, I hope you don't have any hard feelings about Hong Kong.

    Regards,

    HK citizen =]

  • I think those coupon is useful for you if you stay in Hong Kong a week after release......btw....Why don't Hong Kong government upgrade your air-ticket directly instead of giving this coupon to you? unless there is no deadlines .......otherwise, that's really we call it "RUBBISH".

  • cheer up~~~

    see you tomorrow!

  • The thought is nice, but it doesn't seem like 4k worth. Most of it won't be used either? Seems like the egg roll was the best, :P.

Hope all is well there, and keep living strong~

  • You can get gifts from HK government, it's quite doubtful you can get from somewhere else with the same situation......

  • 好簡單, 你都快要走人了, 送你什麼都是浪費金錢.

    莫非政府送你真金白銀, 叫你不要唱衰香港?

take a good look around the hospitals in Atlanta.

  • I think they can sell it in Ebay!

  • so bad... $4000 rubbish~ sorry for you guys, my friend~ as i am a HK citizen

  • LUcky you!

    NONo, I'm just joking...

Hope you have a safe trip and enjoy your time.

  • so many gift~

  • to give these or not, i dont think its HK government's fault to quarantined the ppl in hotel for others safety, so i think its better than none.

  • 0:20!

    omgwtfbbq?

  • that obviously is for kids

  • i think is better than nothing and actually what do u expect. If the government do nothing or do less, the whole HK citizens will blame them. It's always better to do more instead of nothing and those gift are kind of practical actually, like tickets and octopus

  • sell all those stuffs and bail yourself out of HK!

  • hk gov... wdf

  • I think give cash is better than such these rubbish!

  • faton611 :

you are quite right, and you speak my heart.

  • 4000? give them cash maybe better

  • if they give in cash, it might not help the hk economy if they dont spend the money in hk

  • Support~~~

  • How unlucky you are !. This kind of "swine flu" is of no big deal. But the HKSAR Government regarded "and even now" the matter like " a storm in a teacup". They always do things at the wrong timing, wrong place and to the wrong people. This is how most of the HK people look at our Government.

  • If ONLY they had printed a number of each and every of the items and clasified them as "LIMITED EDITION _ HK Government Gift to Metro Park Hotel Guest Quarantined for H1N1"...I am sure you could have made much more than HK$4k by selling them ....

  • worth $4000? are you kidding me? haha

  • Bad luck u coped it... accept it appreciated that u didn't catch the flu. In New Zealand all u get are free meals in the hospital.

  • nice gift!!!

  • We support u!!

  • LOL!! it absolutely not worths HK$4000

  • disney, ocean park, and wax museum admission isn't cheap!

  • how is that worth 4k HKD? and whats the point of giving these when you're leaving soon/cant visit those places?

  • ha,you are certainly not living in hk and don't know what the price is

  • the question is not so much the value of the gift, but the practicality of it. it's true that most of the people will be leavying HK soon after release, so it's unlikely they'll be able to make use of the coupons, a lot of which have an expiry date of may 2009.

  • LOL, if you are not going to use those tickets, I would definitely love to use it on your behalf, practically XD

  • It's the thought that counts

  • What? No free tickets for the MTR Airport Express Train? Not even an Octopus Card? Oh, man, terrific. Thanks for sharing!

Keep the videos coming! I'll bookmark your page until the quarantine is over.

    SHADO CONTROL

  • No, there is an octopus card featured in the video. It's a collector's item octopus card, but it only contains $10 in value

  • Wow thats great! 7 F*cking days for this......hope you like it, if not, too bad.

  • They should have given you a t-shirt with the inscription "I was quarantined in Hong Kong and all I got was this lousy T-shirt"

  • haha. good one.

  • HK govt must have made lots of those red polo T-shirt because we get them for free during the Dragon Boat in London-last year-2008

  • Nice gesture from the HK government. But apart from HK residents, who is going have time to spend all that? Most, if not all of them need to fly back to their own countries on Fri/Sat anyway and the last thing I want to do after I get quarantined in a city is to pay again for a flight ticket / hotel stay to return to that city (might be different if flight/hotel is free). Plus, a lot of them are trying to get business done in HK and not to play.
