  • The video title is deceptive. All the things he magnetized are made of iron. They're not made of just any metal.

  • I've read that you can do that, but never seen it done before. I also remember that you have to rub it continuously in the same direction, as opposed to back and forth. Any idea why that is?

  • Can you then use the new magnet to make yet more magnets? And could you have 2nd, 3rd, even 100th generation magnets all made from the same original magnet, or do you suppose that somewhere along the line the properties would be dissipated? Also, If you did that to a thousand different objects with the same magnet, would the magnetism of that magnet be lessened?
