Hey, I was watching the NBA in the 80s and BROTHAS had MUCH RESPECT for Tom Chambers. Once he won the All-star MVP, his stock went up BIG-TIME and he started getting some much deserved recognition (even though he played in markets and with other great players that didn't get much press either). He was a BIG white guy who actually HAD MOVES and could work the paint. Usually, it's the smaller ones that had the moves and the ups: like Westphal, Sura, and Rex Chapman.

Why is the word pride only racist when its precedded by the word white? "Black Power" isn't even considered racist by most in society but white pride is. That's insanely ridiculous. Magic was a good defender but this match-up just didn't suit him. Chambers had a little size on him, was a great shooter (freezes defenders) and he had a lightning first step & monster ups. No shame here.

Magic wasn't a great defender... at all. He knew how to play team defense. Unlike Bird who would stop guys with cagey steals, strips and blocks(he was always reading the other guy's mind)... Magic would sometimes let a guy score, just so they'd turn around and run a fastbreak down the other teams' throat. It'd kill the teams momentum, Magic knew this.
