@iq201 IQ yes it is a version of the Uni knot. The standard Uni knot only goes around the hook eye 1 time and uses 4 wraps around the main lines. The Fish-N-Fool Knot uses 2 wraps around the hook eye and 5 to 7 wraps on the main line.
@hoodoodreamer The only difference is the extra Round Turn. A Uni can have any number of wraps around the main line as desired. If you use use 10 wraps in a Uni, it's still a Uni. Anyway, fishermen have been using the Fish-N-Fool for awhile. It's just that this guy put a name to it and claimed he invented it. It doesn't really matter though because there's no money in being an inventor of a fishing knot.

LOL - like others have commented, I have been using this exact knot for years and years. I know for sure that it became my standard knot in the early 80's. Make it even stronger by doubling the line and then doing a standard UNI. Oooops, should have given it a name and claimed it. HEHEHE
Knot looks great but I seriously just tie the polamar bc it's so easy haha. Grats on the win for strongest knot though.

For my own understanding, the Fish-N-Fool is a Uni with a Round Turn in the hook eye. Is that correct?
