  • Bands go to gainesville to die

  • Okay, you all seriously need to put this documentary out. This band is totally worth it.

  • Watching this made me feel nostalgic. Lots of awesome memories at these shows, especially hometown in Alley Katz. That was some real music. Shame I dont feel I will never see another band actually put on a show like these guys could.

  • Love the fact that Joe is wearing a Kentucky shirt in this video. You are forever awesome Joe!!!

  • @krisykes hes still got that shirt hahahah

  • Pretty please release some footage?

  • is "coming soon," sarchastic?

  • Dude, please! Tell us when it will be ready!!

  • i guess its safe to say this is never coming out, sadly

  • Wow, this would rock to see. I did see them live a couple of times in Atlanta in the mid nineties. Have some photos from one of the shows and they are unforgettable, full stop.

  • @EmaJack99 I second the Over the James recommendation – Avail was at its best then, practicing every day (Lookout! was paying them enough so that they could quit their day jobs for a brief time) and writing great songs ... seeing that band several times in 1997 and 1998 was probably the best thing about living in Virginia back then

  • hey which album do you recommend me to start listen to this band???

  • @EmaJack99 Over The James

  • Please let this movie come out or Avail can get back together.

  • What, a documentary on this pseudo-punk band? Unbelivably ridiculous.

  • @LustForHate You're out of your league.

  • i can't count how many times i saw avail play. 15? 20? beux was, is, and always will be one of my personal hero's and one of the coolest and nicest guys i've ever met. damn i miss this band.

  • Unfortunately, I don't think this will ever come out. Avail is done. They haven't played live in years and haven't put out an album in like a decade. Great band. Great live show. It's sad to see them go out like this. These guys really had heart.

  • i would kill for an avail reunion...

  • Sounds like the Anvil of punk rock almost

  • I. Do agree wit him,he has a point about the whole growin up with all he needed n shit but that doesn't make him a bad person,u criticise him about what he once was n not on wat he is now.were all ppl in this world, wat gives u the right to talkdown on them,so there band became famous and got up there,u sound real jealous to me.

  • is this coming out? I love these guys!!!!

  • Cool...

Where can I get the documentary. I searched all over the internet...but no results :-(

  • damn... i have bought theyre cds and stuff, but i never had the chance to see them live...fuck

    life's a bitch

anyway when this will be finished? anytime soon?

  • hate to rub it in, but it's too bad you never got to see them live. Honestly, they're very easily one of the best, most intense live bands i've ever seen.

  • Their music doesn't sound bad, they could have made a little money.

  • I've been waiting years for this. I hate to say it but I doubt we will ever see it. Last I heard they were finished shooting. It doesn't take years to edit a video together.

  • Its a documentary, not a band video. We have a ton of footage yes, but the plan is to come back to it at a later date and capture what has or hasn't changed since the first round of footage. We are currently working on another project at the moment so sorry for the delay but its gonna have to wait for now. Thanks.

  • I know it's a documentary;p and I'm so happy you still plan on working on it.

However, I'm not sure there is going to be much when you pick the camera back up. After hanging out with and talking to Tim over the years he seems pretty happy doing his solo thing.

I don't know if Avail will ever release the album they've been working on for a while now.

The Avail website isn't even up anymore...

Minus a random show here or there, they don't really seem to be into it anymore.

    I hope I'm wrong!

  • AND WE'RE STILL WAITING!

  • So, is this ever coming out or what? PLEASE.

  • Avail, was one of the first punk bands I really got into. Years later, they're still in my top 3 no doubt.

  • most original punk rawk band ever... lots of respect for this lads

  • Availtaught us how to be band

  • what song is it that they play at 2:18-2:35

  • Pinned Up

  • it was ok. im more a metal fan!

  • nobody cares

  • Damn I wanna see the whole shit !

  • what i love about this vid not only is it Avail playing 2 of my favorite songs from them, but my brother my buddy Tabb and i are in it. Fuckin im the kid starting the one more song chant haha.

plus that was a good show in general

Pink Razors and Permenent played. good times

  • DUDE LOL!

  • gotta be kidding me

  • Funny I didn't know growing up poor was a requirement to make good music.

  • Gee Funny when you sing about hard times and talk about your dislike for the rich, when you grew up with everything you could ever need it comes off artificial and sense tim and i go back to 7 th grade i guess i know what has gone on and whats what and what is an image and what is real.

  • dude you can always grow away from that life style, maybe he didnt start hatting the rich till he realized how much bull shit it is

  • you might think its bad but its true.

  • oh okay

  • I think it's bullshit to pretend you know what Tim Barry is all about! Do you even fuckin know the guy?

  • i have known tim since 7th grade. jerk off go back to your little emo world u live in and dont comment to me with your childish ignorance.

  • Don't let these guys fool you, they all grew up in nice big houses in Reston Va, moved to the VCU campus in Richmond when they turned 18, where they could pursue their emo careers singing about "hard knock lives" "poor me" and other such stupidities.

Though I doubt they will share any stories with you (pre 18), this documentary will probably still be funny none-the-less.

  • I CANT WAIT!!!! PLAY LOUISVILLE SOON

  • wow, you're stupid.

  • jonastubes.

  • Wherever Avail is playing is home

  • This looks great! I can't wait to see the whole thing when it's done!!!!

  • RVHC!G-wasted!

  • when i first saw this i nearly cried with exitment.

  • Cant wait to see the finished documentary. Avail rule!!!! Best live band ever.

  • CANT WAIT!!!

  • Please please please don't give up on this one... Looks to be great.

  • i gotta see this!

  • Great stuff. Can't wait for the movie!

  • Talked to Joe and Beau the other night, they're still being interviewed. Theres no new news on the release date either according to Joe.

    BTW They destroyed the Casbah.

  • second generation punk is good but dont forget the old punks

  • FUGAZI LIVES!

  • myc do yuor songs better than you! LOL

  • Someone gave me one of their CDs and knowing nothing about the band I loved what I heard. I can't wait to see this. I had no idea they'd been around for so long.

  • HOT DAMN!

  • But seriously when is this coming out?

  • One of the best bands of all time. I can't wait.

  • This shit needs to hurry up and come out.

  • fuckin YEEEES!

  • I'm gitty with anticipation!!!!!!!!

  • I meant "Southbound 95" not Front Porch Stories.

  • Looks like the Tim introducing "Front Porch Stories" was from last Friday's Virginia Beach show. That was awesome...can't wait to see this documentary.

  • all I have to say is I NEED TO SEE THIS ASAP...looks like you guys are doing a great job on it.

  • any news on this docu?
