  • The original, the best Bret Hart theme. It's grittier, the other one's too polished & pretty.

  • Remember when he gave his shades to a kid b4 he entered the ring

  • very sega genesis-y

  • bret hitman hart is the best of wrestlers in the world!!!!! The next is The Undertaker!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nothing beats "Road to Destruction"!

  • I like this version!!!

  • "HIS Opponent.......From Calgary Alberta, Canada..............Weighing 234 Pounds.........Brrrrett........HITMAAAAAAAAN..HART"

    -Howard Finkel

  • @djflatline86 And his opponent weighing it at 235 pounds from Calgary Alberta Canada (no commas)..........Breeet The Hitman Haaaaaaaaart.

    -Mike McGuirk

  • Still remember WrestleMania X after he beat Yokozuna when this theme was playing and all of the babyfaces had gotten into the ring with him. This was why we cared about the WWF. Guys like Bret, Randy Savage, Owen Hart, Curt Hennig, the British Bulldog, they were why we cared.

  • i love this version 8)

  • For some reason I prefer the old classic theme music over the new one

  • anybody remember the big rubber toy wrestlers that couldnt move but u still played with them anyway? lol

  • @wizeguy26 hell yeah i remember those i got a few for my birthday and x-mas when i was a kid. i had them all: orndorff, hogan, kirchner, steamboat, snuka, even outback jack. had the ring too. wished i saved them

  • @SnakeMan227 yea foreal bret said he saved em all i had to give the ones i had away..i had hogan andre bundy and the bulldogs

  • thabk u bret thank u bret thank u bret thanku bret thank u bret

  • thank u bret for saving my life

  • I still get to see Bret Hart out in California every now and then.

  • hey do any hav that bret hart theme that was on his dvd ??? where here fought Benoit 4 his brother owen . need help

  • best hitman theme ever

  • 13 guys will die of a hart attack

  • simply the best. my idol in wrestling. go bret go

  • @eltigre2169 agree with you he is also my idol in wrestling back in the 90's when I started to see wrestling was majorly because of this man.

  • out of all the wrestlers that i have seen wrestle and give autographs my 2 most memorable moments always will be shaking the Hitman's hand, sharing a few words and getting my dvd signed by him and getting Rob Van Dam's autograph after a show in germany while watching him have fun and having a great time with his fans high fiving, smiling, signing autographs, making photos. very rewarding for a fan to see that at least sometimes the guys are also loving it.

  • Technical wrestling that tells a compelling story > gimmicky bullshit by dudes who know 4 moves

  • where can you get those glasses does anybody know?

  • @speedboy2626 try eBay

  • The excellence of execution

  • My hero as a kid and my hero today, nobody is better IMO

  • world best wrestler 4 ever

  • @mirfirataltin hell yeah man

  • Comment removed

  • Where can i buy those shades? They look extra fresh!

  • i need to buy those glasses i cant find them evrywhere i go.

  • sweet, yamaha keyboard action.

  • real champ, and the music is better than the new version

  • Ha, I used to have a pair of those sunglasses! = P

  • @wrj004, I agree 100%, The mid 1990's had some great wrestlers, with the hitman at the very top, I don't see any such wrestlers these days.

  • @gautamvv1 besides demond wolfe and bryan danielson they are all in the indies

  • It's too bad the WWE/F doesn't have real wrestlers anymore. I'm not talking about the promo junk because they have a lot of that but people that excell in the technical aspect of the sport. IMO that is what is missing because the technicallity sets a better pace for a match and makes it much more interesting instead of a guy doing the same five or six moves and the match is over. To this day he is still IMO the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be, thank you Bret.

  • Sweet midi theme

  • You just cant beat the original theme

  • the best ever!!! and this is his best theme~

  • this is the best theme ever ... period ... no matter if hart foundation or the hitman alone ... nuff said !!!

  • hart>hogan....

  • @domirules28

Damn straight! I love to watch Hogan better back in the day, but his sheer spectacle and interviews were the reason there. With age comes wisdom, and that wisdom taught me that a good technical match beats brawn and a quick tongue any day of the week.

  • Forever my hero!

  • @DJCandyManMike

    amen! mine too

  • He never should have switched from this version.

  • Best wrestler of all time IMO

  • @jaykruse that is extremely true,man.

  • @jaykruse

You'll get no argument whatsoever out of me!

  • I love Bret Hart's Mortal Kombat theme.

  • This song was Bret The Hitman Hart. This song was IT!! Raw, Groovy and Supreme...

  • I like this theme more than his other one.

  • @thisislaser

    same here..

  • he rulze

  • i live in calgary

  • @lovejones12379 is bret a national hero?

  • @cbone72 Among most wrestling fans he is (or at least was), which of course is a small percentage of the population.

  • notice how the theme repeats like after 50 plus seconds. Is there a extended version on this theme somewhere to download?

  • @Chappelle911 nope there's no longer version, since wwe used this theme, it would repeat the way it does here unfortunately

  • THE BEST THERE IS THE BEST THERE WAS THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE!

  • The Rocket>>>>>The Hitman

  • best match he had was the ironman match with shawn michaels even though he lost... it was awesome !

  • STILL ROCKS

  • Respond to this video...

  • my all-time wrestler

  • Introducing first from Calgary, Alberta, Canada..Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart and Bret "The Hitmannn" Hart....THE HART FOUNDATION.

That would be quite awesome on SvR2011.

  • 1990 Summerslam... annnd neeeeeewww world wrestling federation tag team champions...thhheeee harrrt foundaaaation!

  • Vintage 80's/90's

  • the black attack is back

  • man i really love his first 80s theme, so fkn awesome!

  • The Harts: Only real men wear pink :)

  • Better one than he has now.

  • his shades are MUCH better than what you see people like soulja boy now in days.

  • ياحبني للمصارع هذا رائع رائع بكل حالاته

  • good man

  • This was his best theme. All the others sucked.

  • Sorry, but Jim Johnston didn't compose this one. Jimmy Hart did. You're right about one thing, though - Johnston had the golden touch when it came to wrestling themes!

  • here is a list of songs jimmy hart did for the WWF/E : Honky Tonk Man, Jimmy Snuka, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, The Rockers, The Hart Foundation, Crush, the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers, Dusty Rhodes, the Legion of Doom, the Nasty Boys, Ted DiBiase, the Mountie, Hulk Hogan, the nWo Wolfpac, 3 count, nd Shawn Michaels

  • vince mcmahon is scared of bret

  • No question about it - Jimmy Hart was a genius with music, and this theme proves it! Any time you heard this song playing, you knew immediately that you were about to see what you tuned in for.

  • @DJCandyManMike Dude...it's Jim Johnston, not Jimmy Hart. Jimmy Hart did some of the themes for WCW..

    WWF was all Jim Johnston

  • I stand corrected. I will not, however, take back my comments regarding my feelings on this song!

  • @carrythezerobts wrong jimmy hart did the theme get your facts straight

  • @Schwarze999 - Nope, sorry. It was Jim Johnston. Jimmy Hart did the WCW themes that weren't production

  • nope your still wrong

  • I hate to tell you, but Jimmy Hart was the composer of this song. Wikipedia confirmed what I thought I knew all along - I had watched a WWF tape years ago and Jimmy Hart talked about this song. I believe its title is "Road to Destruction".

  • dude shut the fuck up with your lies

  • @carrythezerobts no jimmy hart did HBKs theme

  • @DJCandyManMike shawn michaels theme too!

  • My older brother was a huge fan of the Hart Foundation. I was more of the British Bulldogs because of Dynamite Kid's energy level. But when I look back and think of how great of a tag team the Hart Foundation really was.

  • Who's the dude that composes these? LOL there so badass!

  • The Best there is,

    The best there ever was,

The best there ever will be.

    -Truer words cannot be spoken.

  • @lizardking9175 The Best there is,

    The best there ever was,

The best there ever will be.

    -Truer words cannot be spoken.

  • the brand new theme is SO lame. For shame WWE

  • I remember how this song would get audiences to their feet whenever it was played during a card, especially during Bret Hart's rise to the WWF World champrionship.

  • I always prefered this one, the new one with all the screaching was a bit cheesey for my liking

  • @simonross1977 and this isnt? its like a frickin atari or super nintendo game them lol

  • @giannaluva65 it's his video game theme. from WWF super wrestlemania his actual theme is similar to this one but it sounds more realistic.

  • @simonross1977

Definitely! His original theme fit Bret to a tee.

  • @simonross1977

    I second that motion

  • This was an awesome theme....the upgraded version was also boss!

  • the best theme of bret ever!

  • i like this song but i love the new one it rocks

  • i wonder if they had the picture taken at 0:30 after they won the tag titles from demolition at 1990 SummerSlam

  • It may have a bit more structure but generally it is based more on repetitive patterns like this one(the best music is imo)

Duh duh duh dum duh dum

then then the ringing sound with the duh duh duh dums followed by a climax a settling down and back to duh duh duh dum

  • Stone Cold Steve Austin's theme is basic and non complex, it works, yes you have silly band themed over produced songs that make it as entrance music, but this is Bret Hart we're talking about.

Just tweak the instruments but leave the structure how it is.

  • Well he used it up to 94 and it sounded good to the end. What's good about it is that it doesn't have to much structure, all they have to do is perhaps tweek the instrumentation to more contemporary sounds but leave the structure of the song in tact.

  • @Vice81 this is the same exact song just played differently on some guitar parts

  • IT IS!!! the main riff is here its just not on a hard electric guitar like in the 2nd version

  • His new music sounds terrible I really wish he went back to this one

  • any other wrestling music downloads ???

  • the best wrestler ever is returning !!! saluti dall' Italia

  • bret should back with this theme i never understand why its changed in 94

  • ahora esta de regreso siiiiiiii

  • with bret comin back and the monday night wars possibly firing up again i don't no whats more exciting, christmas or jan. 4....

  • Bret "The Hitman" Hart just signed back with WWE he's scheduled to return on raw jan. 4, 2010

  • It would've been good, if he didn't suffer a stroke in 2002,,,that cock sucker goldberg should've never wrestled, he's just in it bcoz of politics,,,BTW It should've been an in-ring return,,but it's just a return.....

  • Hey tell me which tv channel does that raw come on i dont know its been 12 yrs i followed wwe but i love hitman let me know plz ASAP

  • usa network, I need to find someone who is recording it on dvd or vhs, if you know anyone, I will be interested in a copy if willing

  • @nwowolfpac4 no duh. his last match was wrestlemania. i wanted a real hardcore match. that didnt happen. it was the first time ive seen chairs in wwe in over a year. they didnt even use tables nor go backstage, or wires, nore jump into the crowd. thats how much wwe sucks

  • @nwowolfpac4 Now Bret is GM of Raw.I'll be tuned in just to see him as long as he is around.

  • @nwowolfpac4 to bad he didnt cause he's awesome

  • For my money this was Bret's best ever theme. One of the greatest wrestlers of all time if not the greatest. Legend.

  • time for a pink and black attact, was thing Taylor wilde is from Canada she should a tribute ring attire for her fellow canadian mate come out in pink and black that would be cool i did a simular thing by doing a tribute to one of favorite makes of cars: Pontiac

  • is the 1st pic a WWE Collectors card off of 1990s?

  • The bedst wrestler ever, i love this theme song, hes nekst was better no doubt about it, but this one whas super good!

  • I prefer this classic version to the later one. Love that old-school sound.

  • You know Jimmy Hart actually composed this theme. He composed a lot of themes, along with Jim Johnston.

  • Sounds like the Mortal Kombat selection screen song, lol

  • i say yall should just shut up thise guyis a legend he was doing so much stuff for us that people just wrecked him my respect goes to all the harts o ya his nephu gos to school with me

  • Oh one last thing, I promise! If anyone knows or talks to Bret ask him if he enjoys Sunny Days?! Tell him pattycake1313 and Shawn wanna know!

  • best there is

  • This one's awsome, allthough I perfer the one of 1997

  • wait up. i heard he's a nice guy. how do you know he's arrogant?

  • He may be a nice guy, but read his book and watch his dvd. Listen to how he puts other wrestlers down. Like Hogan, Warrior, Warlord, Honky. Honestly, did you really start to like this guy before or after his tradgities? Yeah he was cool for a while, then his whole I am the best yada yada yada. Got old. And people 13 years ago would agree. Then his brother died (horriable). Then he suffered his stroke. Then everyone loved him again. I even bought into it, but got sic of hearing how great he is.

  • He put some guys down because they deserved it. Look at how many guy's hes praised! He called hakushi one of the best wrestlers! He put over MANY guys! Bret was always admired, and in 1997, he was looked at as a hero for non-Americans. THE TRUE NORTH STRONG AND FREE!

  • Why did they deserve it? Even Shawn was doing what he was told. I am curious are you 10 because of the 1999, after your name? Or is that when Safco field was opened? And if you are Canadian, guess what I am too, I am French Canadian, but was born and live in USA. I like Canada a lot. Use to go Northern Pike fishing up there all the time. But don't any more too many border rules to make it worth while. Still I think Bret was good, like the Model or Tito and Honky. He was not a Hogan, or Flair.

  • While a legend, Hogan, when older, still refused to put guys like Bret over. Warrior was selfish and quit many times. Thats why Bret said stuff about them.

The 1999 is when the stadium opened.

No one will ever be Hogan. But Bret wasn't trying to be Hogan. But Bret's impact on the industry was huge, mainly with his talent. Flair- not a good wrestler. Yeah he had great charisma, but what else? I respect him, he put guys over, but he's not exactly the greatest wrestler.

  • Hogan never put guys over? How bout Brock Lesner at Smackdown a few years ago. How bout The Undertaker on two different occasions? I could go on but I won't. I will however give my theory on why he never put Hart over. They had Hogan and Bret as a team vs. Lugar and Sting. Bret turned on Hogan, and was about to fight Nash that would have led to a Hogan Hart fight eventualy. Then Bret took time off, cause his brother died. He came back and was soon injured by Goldberg. Hogan. Timing pervented it.

  • Hogan did put over guys like Warrior, Lesnar, Rock... you cant say he put Taker over, because Flair interfered in that match.. Putting someone over = clean loss.

The Hogan/Hart "putting over" thing dates back to 1993, when Hogan was leaving WWF, and they scheduled Hogan/Hart at King of the Ring. Instead, Hogan himself requested to face Yokozuna.

Hogan and Bret had already prepared the promos and pictures for their match, but Hogan backed out. Thats where the animosity began.

  • Ridiculous criteria. He was more than just Martel or Tito. He was more on a level with Savage or Steamboat.

  • What did Bret ever do on his own that would make him one of the greats? Mcmahon was his bred and butter and he could not make it without him. Oh sure WCW signed him and gave him a ton of money. But what did he do there? Granted he was already like 42 but Hogan, Flair and Savage were older and they still did fine W/O Vince.

  • Lots of guys couldn't flourish in WCW and did in WWF. What did Mick Foley ever do in WCW? That place was a total mess.

  • If you see how many big WWF/E stars languished in the WCW, or were considered nothing more than mid-carders in the WCW only to make their star in the WWF/E, its astonishing, especially later on the in the 90's for the WCW.

  • Wow. Maybe you should watch some of his matches before making a ridiculous statement like this. This just proves that you don't have one shred of wrestling knowledge. Go watch UFC.

  • you didn't answer my question

  • Nope he isnt, he just knows that he is good, theirs nothing wrong with that. And if he was arrogant than howe come he put over so many great wrestlers. Where whould stone cold be with out his legendary matches against the hitman or chris benoit or chris jericho or the patriot or razor ramon. As for putting the warrior down, thats nothing new, cause everyone does that. He may have some on and of real life feuds wiht hogan and flair, but those guys can be pretty arrogant as well.

  • If you mean praising guys and putting them over, then sure, but I dont think the time really came in Bret's career where he was able to put guys over. He was still carrying the industry at the time.

And I dont think anyone cares about Patriot lol... Jericho and Benoit didn't get put over cuz of Bret, nor did Razor.

  • Well perhaps the Patriot was a bad example lol. But Razor shure wasnt. Have you seen there match at the royal rumble 93. Scott Hall was already a defined superstar in innercircles, but to the crowd not. Bret put him over pretty good as a title contender, pitty the WW(F)E never actually put it on him. And his matches in WCW with Chris Beniot same story. Everyone knew that Chris was great, but to the crowd he was relatively unknown. Hogan shure wouldnt waste his time on him. But Bret did.

  • All their real life feuds are probably fake in reality. Why? Because wrestling is exposed. Look at how much Vince, Shawn, and Bret continue to make because of what happened. I am not saying it can't be real, but no offence don't say it can't be fake.

  • "probably fake" means you must be quite young to know? Bret/Shawn's feud had gone back to 1995, and continues to today.

I think Vince made tons of money because of it, but look at how many "screw jobs" happen now to mock that event- do they make anything out of it now??

I dont think anyone expected things to turn out the way they did in the aftermath. Not everyone knew what was happening when it happened live. LOTS of guys have "real life feuds". It doesn't always blow up so bad though.

  • I am 32 for the record. And that is not that young. You can believe everthing these wrestlers tell you, if you want.

  • This theme is the coolest of all time. Its kinda bland like bret on the mic, but its almost telling the storie about the man coming through the curtains, just like brets matches. Its perfect for him. One of the best wrestlers of all time, with the best theme of all time.

  • those glasses where da shit!

right next to the Jackson 5 aviator shades!

p.s. this theme was so 8bit basic lol. remember wwf raw for genesis? lol

  • remember those foam sun glasses they sold of his in the consession stands ? lol

    hahah funny shit

  • Brett el mejor

  • i wana comment on something about that prick hbk he said that he had nothing to do with the screwing of bret which he lied about then 2 month later he had a match with undertaker in the royalrumble were he broke his back and was out for 4 years shows u wat goes around comes around

  • the best there is the best there was and the best that ever will be

  • Bret Hart was the best. I never realized how late into the 90's he was still wearing those Back to the Future glasses, lol. Few wrestlers remained with the same look for so long and it never got old.

  • it did get old at least thats wat vince thought.. thats y they let him go in 97 to wcw cuz he was stale adn the same as he was in the 80s

  • Comment removed

  • Damn Bret was an awesome bastard.

  • This is the same theme he always had, just a bit different, is that what you meant or is there another completely different one?

  • who wasn't on the juice? naturally you'll never get as big as these guys...

  • back in 80's i was legal to do so maybe yeah hogan admitted to using them back then......

  • Yeah, it was legal and less was known about it.. Piper, Orndorff, Bret, Dynamite Kid, and several other guys must've been on the exact same stuff at that time because they all had similar looking muscle growth, particularly in their necks and jaws. They apparently got off it or changed what they were taking in the 1990's, because their faces/jaws/physiques all noticeably changed.

  • I remember seeing him wrestle at the Arrowhead Pond(now called Honda Center)in Anaheim.AHH These were the best memories of my teen years.

  • did you ever notice that arenas had awesome names until corporate assholes come in and change it to something dull
