@wizeguy26 hell yeah i remember those i got a few for my birthday and x-mas when i was a kid. i had them all: orndorff, hogan, kirchner, steamboat, snuka, even outback jack. had the ring too. wished i saved them
out of all the wrestlers that i have seen wrestle and give autographs my 2 most memorable moments always will be shaking the Hitman's hand, sharing a few words and getting my dvd signed by him and getting Rob Van Dam's autograph after a show in germany while watching him have fun and having a great time with his fans high fiving, smiling, signing autographs, making photos. very rewarding for a fan to see that at least sometimes the guys are also loving it.
It's too bad the WWE/F doesn't have real wrestlers anymore. I'm not talking about the promo junk because they have a lot of that but people that excell in the technical aspect of the sport. IMO that is what is missing because the technicallity sets a better pace for a match and makes it much more interesting instead of a guy doing the same five or six moves and the match is over. To this day he is still IMO the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be, thank you Bret.
Damn straight! I love to watch Hogan better back in the day, but his sheer spectacle and interviews were the reason there. With age comes wisdom, and that wisdom taught me that a good technical match beats brawn and a quick tongue any day of the week.
Sorry, but Jim Johnston didn't compose this one. Jimmy Hart did. You're right about one thing, though - Johnston had the golden touch when it came to wrestling themes!
here is a list of songs jimmy hart did for the WWF/E : Honky Tonk Man, Jimmy Snuka, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, The Rockers, The Hart Foundation, Crush, the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers, Dusty Rhodes, the Legion of Doom, the Nasty Boys, Ted DiBiase, the Mountie, Hulk Hogan, the nWo Wolfpac, 3 count, nd Shawn Michaels
No question about it - Jimmy Hart was a genius with music, and this theme proves it! Any time you heard this song playing, you knew immediately that you were about to see what you tuned in for.
I hate to tell you, but Jimmy Hart was the composer of this song. Wikipedia confirmed what I thought I knew all along - I had watched a WWF tape years ago and Jimmy Hart talked about this song. I believe its title is "Road to Destruction".
My older brother was a huge fan of the Hart Foundation. I was more of the British Bulldogs because of Dynamite Kid's energy level. But when I look back and think of how great of a tag team the Hart Foundation really was.
I remember how this song would get audiences to their feet whenever it was played during a card, especially during Bret Hart's rise to the WWF World champrionship.
Stone Cold Steve Austin's theme is basic and non complex, it works, yes you have silly band themed over produced songs that make it as entrance music, but this is Bret Hart we're talking about.

time for a pink and black attact, was thing Taylor wilde is from Canada she should a tribute ring attire for her fellow canadian mate come out in pink and black that would be cool i did a simular thing by doing a tribute to one of favorite makes of cars: Pontiac
i say yall should just shut up thise guyis a legend he was doing so much stuff for us that people just wrecked him my respect goes to all the harts o ya his nephu gos to school with me
He may be a nice guy, but read his book and watch his dvd. Listen to how he puts other wrestlers down. Like Hogan, Warrior, Warlord, Honky. Honestly, did you really start to like this guy before or after his tradgities? Yeah he was cool for a while, then his whole I am the best yada yada yada. Got old. And people 13 years ago would agree. Then his brother died (horriable). Then he suffered his stroke. Then everyone loved him again. I even bought into it, but got sic of hearing how great he is.
He put some guys down because they deserved it. Look at how many guy's hes praised! He called hakushi one of the best wrestlers! He put over MANY guys! Bret was always admired, and in 1997, he was looked at as a hero for non-Americans. THE TRUE NORTH STRONG AND FREE!
Why did they deserve it? Even Shawn was doing what he was told. I am curious are you 10 because of the 1999, after your name? Or is that when Safco field was opened? And if you are Canadian, guess what I am too, I am French Canadian, but was born and live in USA. I like Canada a lot. Use to go Northern Pike fishing up there all the time. But don't any more too many border rules to make it worth while. Still I think Bret was good, like the Model or Tito and Honky. He was not a Hogan, or Flair.
While a legend, Hogan, when older, still refused to put guys like Bret over. Warrior was selfish and quit many times. Thats why Bret said stuff about them.
The 1999 is when the stadium opened.
No one will ever be Hogan. But Bret wasn't trying to be Hogan. But Bret's impact on the industry was huge, mainly with his talent. Flair- not a good wrestler. Yeah he had great charisma, but what else? I respect him, he put guys over, but he's not exactly the greatest wrestler.
Hogan never put guys over? How bout Brock Lesner at Smackdown a few years ago. How bout The Undertaker on two different occasions? I could go on but I won't. I will however give my theory on why he never put Hart over. They had Hogan and Bret as a team vs. Lugar and Sting. Bret turned on Hogan, and was about to fight Nash that would have led to a Hogan Hart fight eventualy. Then Bret took time off, cause his brother died. He came back and was soon injured by Goldberg. Hogan. Timing pervented it.
Hogan did put over guys like Warrior, Lesnar, Rock... you cant say he put Taker over, because Flair interfered in that match.. Putting someone over = clean loss.
The Hogan/Hart "putting over" thing dates back to 1993, when Hogan was leaving WWF, and they scheduled Hogan/Hart at King of the Ring. Instead, Hogan himself requested to face Yokozuna.
Hogan and Bret had already prepared the promos and pictures for their match, but Hogan backed out. Thats where the animosity began.
What did Bret ever do on his own that would make him one of the greats? Mcmahon was his bred and butter and he could not make it without him. Oh sure WCW signed him and gave him a ton of money. But what did he do there? Granted he was already like 42 but Hogan, Flair and Savage were older and they still did fine W/O Vince.
If you see how many big WWF/E stars languished in the WCW, or were considered nothing more than mid-carders in the WCW only to make their star in the WWF/E, its astonishing, especially later on the in the 90's for the WCW.
Wow. Maybe you should watch some of his matches before making a ridiculous statement like this. This just proves that you don't have one shred of wrestling knowledge. Go watch UFC.
Nope he isnt, he just knows that he is good, theirs nothing wrong with that. And if he was arrogant than howe come he put over so many great wrestlers. Where whould stone cold be with out his legendary matches against the hitman or chris benoit or chris jericho or the patriot or razor ramon. As for putting the warrior down, thats nothing new, cause everyone does that. He may have some on and of real life feuds wiht hogan and flair, but those guys can be pretty arrogant as well.
If you mean praising guys and putting them over, then sure, but I dont think the time really came in Bret's career where he was able to put guys over. He was still carrying the industry at the time.
And I dont think anyone cares about Patriot lol... Jericho and Benoit didn't get put over cuz of Bret, nor did Razor.
Well perhaps the Patriot was a bad example lol. But Razor shure wasnt. Have you seen there match at the royal rumble 93. Scott Hall was already a defined superstar in innercircles, but to the crowd not. Bret put him over pretty good as a title contender, pitty the WW(F)E never actually put it on him. And his matches in WCW with Chris Beniot same story. Everyone knew that Chris was great, but to the crowd he was relatively unknown. Hogan shure wouldnt waste his time on him. But Bret did.
All their real life feuds are probably fake in reality. Why? Because wrestling is exposed. Look at how much Vince, Shawn, and Bret continue to make because of what happened. I am not saying it can't be real, but no offence don't say it can't be fake.
"probably fake" means you must be quite young to know? Bret/Shawn's feud had gone back to 1995, and continues to today.
I think Vince made tons of money because of it, but look at how many "screw jobs" happen now to mock that event- do they make anything out of it now??
I dont think anyone expected things to turn out the way they did in the aftermath. Not everyone knew what was happening when it happened live. LOTS of guys have "real life feuds". It doesn't always blow up so bad though.
This theme is the coolest of all time. Its kinda bland like bret on the mic, but its almost telling the storie about the man coming through the curtains, just like brets matches. Its perfect for him. One of the best wrestlers of all time, with the best theme of all time.
i wana comment on something about that prick hbk he said that he had nothing to do with the screwing of bret which he lied about then 2 month later he had a match with undertaker in the royalrumble were he broke his back and was out for 4 years shows u wat goes around comes around
Bret Hart was the best. I never realized how late into the 90's he was still wearing those Back to the Future glasses, lol. Few wrestlers remained with the same look for so long and it never got old.
Yeah, it was legal and less was known about it.. Piper, Orndorff, Bret, Dynamite Kid, and several other guys must've been on the exact same stuff at that time because they all had similar looking muscle growth, particularly in their necks and jaws. They apparently got off it or changed what they were taking in the 1990's, because their faces/jaws/physiques all noticeably changed.
The original, the best Bret Hart theme. It's grittier, the other one's too polished & pretty.

Safeco1999 2 years ago
Hogan never put guys over? How bout Brock Lesner at Smackdown a few years ago. How bout The Undertaker on two different occasions? I could go on but I won't. I will however give my theory on why he never put Hart over. They had Hogan and Bret as a team vs. Lugar and Sting. Bret turned on Hogan, and was about to fight Nash that would have led to a Hogan Hart fight eventualy. Then Bret took time off, cause his brother died. He came back and was soon injured by Goldberg. Hogan. Timing pervented it.
ThePattycake1313 2 years ago
Hogan did put over guys like Warrior, Lesnar, Rock... you cant say he put Taker over, because Flair interfered in that match.. Putting someone over = clean loss.
The Hogan/Hart "putting over" thing dates back to 1993, when Hogan was leaving WWF, and they scheduled Hogan/Hart at King of the Ring. Instead, Hogan himself requested to face Yokozuna.
Hogan and Bret had already prepared the promos and pictures for their match, but Hogan backed out. Thats where the animosity began.
Safeco1999 2 years ago 2
Ridiculous criteria. He was more than just Martel or Tito. He was more on a level with Savage or Steamboat.

ThePattycake1313 2 years ago
Lots of guys couldn't flourish in WCW and did in WWF. What did Mick Foley ever do in WCW? That place was a total mess.
bb6f44 2 years ago 5
If you see how many big WWF/E stars languished in the WCW, or were considered nothing more than mid-carders in the WCW only to make their star in the WWF/E, its astonishing, especially later on the in the 90's for the WCW.

yeah WCW sucked!!

Wow. Maybe you should watch some of his matches before making a ridiculous statement like this. This just proves that you don't have one shred of wrestling knowledge. Go watch UFC.

you didn't answer my question
ThePattycake1313 2 years ago
Nope he isnt, he just knows that he is good, theirs nothing wrong with that. And if he was arrogant than howe come he put over so many great wrestlers. Where whould stone cold be with out his legendary matches against the hitman or chris benoit or chris jericho or the patriot or razor ramon. As for putting the warrior down, thats nothing new, cause everyone does that. He may have some on and of real life feuds wiht hogan and flair, but those guys can be pretty arrogant as well.
nzoplkj 2 years ago
If you mean praising guys and putting them over, then sure, but I dont think the time really came in Bret's career where he was able to put guys over. He was still carrying the industry at the time.
And I dont think anyone cares about Patriot lol... Jericho and Benoit didn't get put over cuz of Bret, nor did Razor.
Safeco1999 2 years ago
Well perhaps the Patriot was a bad example lol. But Razor shure wasnt. Have you seen there match at the royal rumble 93. Scott Hall was already a defined superstar in innercircles, but to the crowd not. Bret put him over pretty good as a title contender, pitty the WW(F)E never actually put it on him. And his matches in WCW with Chris Beniot same story. Everyone knew that Chris was great, but to the crowd he was relatively unknown. Hogan shure wouldnt waste his time on him. But Bret did.
nzoplkj 2 years ago
All their real life feuds are probably fake in reality. Why? Because wrestling is exposed. Look at how much Vince, Shawn, and Bret continue to make because of what happened. I am not saying it can't be real, but no offence don't say it can't be fake.
ThePattycake1313 2 years ago
"probably fake" means you must be quite young to know? Bret/Shawn's feud had gone back to 1995, and continues to today.
I think Vince made tons of money because of it, but look at how many "screw jobs" happen now to mock that event- do they make anything out of it now??
I dont think anyone expected things to turn out the way they did in the aftermath. Not everyone knew what was happening when it happened live. LOTS of guys have "real life feuds". It doesn't always blow up so bad though.
Safeco1999 2 years ago
I am 32 for the record. And that is not that young. You can believe everthing these wrestlers tell you, if you want.
ThePattycake1313 2 years ago
This theme is the coolest of all time. Its kinda bland like bret on the mic, but its almost telling the storie about the man coming through the curtains, just like brets matches. Its perfect for him. One of the best wrestlers of all time, with the best theme of all time.

the best there is the best there was and the best that ever will be
jacobygreenwood 2 years ago 12
Bret Hart was the best. I never realized how late into the 90's he was still wearing those Back to the Future glasses, lol. Few wrestlers remained with the same look for so long and it never got old.
efpizarro 2 years ago 15
it did get old at least thats wat vince thought.. thats y they let him go in 97 to wcw cuz he was stale adn the same as he was in the 80s

back in 80's i was legal to do so maybe yeah hogan admitted to using them back then......
Cutlerfan1988 2 years ago
Yeah, it was legal and less was known about it.. Piper, Orndorff, Bret, Dynamite Kid, and several other guys must've been on the exact same stuff at that time because they all had similar looking muscle growth, particularly in their necks and jaws. They apparently got off it or changed what they were taking in the 1990's, because their faces/jaws/physiques all noticeably changed.
EGarrett01 2 years ago
I remember seeing him wrestle at the Arrowhead Pond(now called Honda Center)in Anaheim.AHH These were the best memories of my teen years.

did you ever notice that arenas had awesome names until corporate assholes come in and change it to something dull
