@utubefreak101 MP3 sounds exactly the same as WAV to the human ear, it just takes up less space. Unless you have bat ears you cant actually notice the holes in digital sampling, that's the whole point. Anything over 15khz is a waste of space.

@sergeantRC No, you are wrong. MP3 sounds VERY DIFFERENT from WAV to the human ear. MP3 sucks ass and is KILLING recorded audio. Have you ever heard the artifacts in an MP3 recording? Also, the human ear can hear up to 22 KHz, but digital audio itself, even at 96 KHz is VERY lossy compared to vinyl and analog audio, which captures all the sound.

@judenihal The ability to hear at 22Khz is very rare, and the whole point of MP3 was to reduce file size so of course its going to be lossy compared to analog. I am sure if someone played an MP3 and then a WAV file you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Regardless, this has nothing to do with why iTunes sucks.

@sergeantRC No I've listened to both, and can definitely tell the difference. MP3 is closer to streaming audio than WAV. Usually unmastered audio is reduced and slowing down the song will definitely make the normal human ear detect the difference.

iTunes is a mp3, mp4 player with apple music store which is a rip off.

Limewire is a well known repository for illegal files that are often infected with viruses. So what if you have Anti virus software you still download stuff and can't play it so what's the point. I thought everyone knew this but apparently not.

Use uTorrent to get your music or better still buy the fucking songs, and use WinAmp to listen to the music. It pisses all over itunes, music sounds so much better.

I do not like iTunes because of the DRM, and more so the fact that I have to pay more money if I would want to un-DRM my music. I buy my music from other sources. Sources that respect the customer. I think the artists should get a cut of the profit, but iTunes is just ridiculous.

Agreed. LimeWire is also a bandwidth whore because it opens up default on startup. It's easy to change, but most people don't know how. It's also insecure because it opens up your computer to anybody. Those search results are the file contents of other people's download folders. And LimeWire is full of porn, and misnamed songs. I would much rather pay for my music than be stuck with that crap. At least torrent one album or discographies at a time, much more secure and organized. I hate LimeWire.
