After reconsidering things... I might wanna take Sin Cyber End out of my Machinatown Deck. This way, I'll open up 2 slots in the main Deck, and 2 slots in the extra Deck. I could then run a second Veiler and finally put that Catastor in my main extra deck!

I'm running a t.g. build and i cant really make level 7's but i still run a black rose in there. I cannot make myself take it out on the off chance that i need it and can make it. I understand your arguments and they're valid but i don't see a way around my stubbornness. HELP! Any thoughts?...

@uciha86 Just take out the Black Rose Dragon, put something in, and play in a tournament. When you see that you didn't need Black Rose Dragon, or that that other card you put in BRD's place helped you out, that should show you that you made the ri ght choice.

@yugiohtopmaker528 Well, that depends on your Main Deck choices, Side Deck choices, and the meta you're playing in. Look through all of your Synchro/XYZ monsters (maybe even use DuelingNetwork to see the cards) and see if you can picture any situations where those monsters can help you against specific match-ups. Maybe you side multiple Cyber Dragon and have room for more than 1 Chimeratech Fortress Dragon. Maybe you run a lot of protection and Level 4 monsters so Roach would work. Research!

I want to pick your brain about Orient Dragon in the plant sychro deck. Post Oder of Chaos with the rise of Inzektors and Wind-ups in addition to the new dominant deck in Dino Rabbits, do you think the addition Orient Dragon is warranted? Would you rather use a Iron Chain dragon or maybe something like Thought Ruler or Giga-Brilliant?

@BoXeR204 Just like with side deck cards, what you put in your Extra Deck depends on your Main Deck as well as the meta of the tournament you're going to. But, yes, it seems like Synchros aren't as popular as they once were since XYZ monsters were released. If you're finding yourself never making Orient Dragon against popular match-ups and bad match-ups, take it out for something you could see helping you against those other match-ups.

I always thought I was a good deck/side/extra deck builder. I put a lot of thought and time into my deck. The perfect example for this was at YCS RI when both Jonathan Weigle and I went in with the same main deck of Gravekeeper's. He ran a different extra deck than i did and actually suffered for it. He didn't run armory arm and a few different choices as well and an instance came up where he needed armory arm to win (with veiler and recruiter) and he actually lost because of this.

I know what you mean. I have a plant gemini deck that had issues with chain burn, and instead of siding for it I thought "I can make lvl 8 synchro monsters stupidly easy, why don't I just play black-winged dragon." From then on I never had trouble with chain burn decks :P

@teamepic3 you have never heard of a smokescreen? Its like the oldest trick in the book. Just shuffle your side into your main deck deck and side take out 15. Its legal and they dont get to know how many you sided. For all they know you just went from tg to siding into tg agent or somthing

@TheSandTrap For my decks, i dont like to spend more than $15 on single cards. I just cant afford to drop that kind of money, especially when i have to buy 2 - 3 copies of any given card. So i play herald of orange instead of veiler, and for main decks i run agents. so its not super hard to build on a budget. But i really feel the effects on my extra deck. SO i use mist wurm instead of trish, Gaia instead of brio etc.. could you do a video on decks and budgets? and decent replacement cards?

Maybe in the next side decking episode, can you explain how to conceal how many cards you are siding from your opponent. I feel that it can really change your opponents strategy if they know your siding only a few cards or almost your entire side deck.

Okay, I don't have major cashes, so I run certain cards that are hard to make because I don't have the card it would replace (Just for example, I raun AOJ Decisive Armor before I had Mist Wurm back in the day). However, I replace the card that is hard to make with an easier target whenever I get the easier target. For example again, i WOULD run a Scrap Dragon, but I run Mist Wurm instead, despite it being hard to make, simply because I can't afford Scrap Dragon.

In your example, I understand your reasoning but I also have to wonder...are you sure you've considered all of your other possible options as far as the Extra Deck is concerned before settling on a card you can't really make? Extra Chimeratech? Different XYZ monsters?
